Then why say it?
Considering your sheepish behaviour and your willingness to tolerate the treatment you are being subjected to for the money you have given them I am discinclined to acquiesce to your viewpoint entirely. But you do you.
You and your thread have been immortalized in digital papyrus in true Warhammer fashion.
Hah! That is a cool way of saying it will be forbidden from view to anyone but the holy inquisition
Thank you. Needed the release.
I thought you had some morsel of potential growth in you. That’s why.
You just come to a place and unload (and there is no end to it, either).
Yes, yes, you’re frustrated. We get it. We all see the potential this game has and so far has not realized. But what do you want to do? Constantly run your mouth? It’s antics that aren’t a good read. Simple as.
So you are condescending towards me and absolutely defeatist towards Fat Shark. Sure. Why not. You do you. I wish you good fortune in the surrenders to come.
This is a topic that comes up a lot with my friend, he’s the type who is incentivized by loot chasing, where I am not. So for him the system is fine because looking at it from a loot chasers perspective it works to keep someone like him in the game. Where someone like me who will play the game for the joy of the game… Burning 20 or more hours of materials just trying to get a weapon to work for a build is something I find completely demoralizing and kills any desire to play the game. I want to play a build, not spend months to get the gear to even play that build in a moderately reasonable level.
So I can understand how some people can be fine with the system we have now, it also kills the game for people such as myself. And that is where things come in, it’s a balancing act and trying to balance for the people who literally no life a game will only frustrate every other player you have.
Orthus is a dead end content. No motivation to replay it, twins ambush as a condition is gone too. They basicaly spent their time on the thing that could be a side activity in their GaaS model (just need npc quests and loot to farm) but instead it’s one-off (two for normal and hard runs) mission.
It doesn’t work even from that perspective. If you will take any good ARPG (D4 bad). You have a consistant loot drop rate and loot pinata moments. Such rate that you find something usefull in some way - materials, gear, consumables, tradable, even basic white gear could be something you will craft into high power gear, etc. You also have more gear slots and a much more deeper itemization, tones of affixes you are trying to hunt. And different activities you can choose to play. So even ARPG provides some manner of control to the player and it never feels frustrating.
Ammount of affixes is another thing that impact DT items. It’s not so bad when there are 2 locks out of 6-8 properties, but when it’s 2/4 it sucks.
In DT you have nothing like that, you spin gacha that may give you absolute trash item the only purpose of wich is to be dismantled for 1500 dockets. So it feels you’ve wasted your evening, earned nothing. Add here there are people who can’t play 12 hours a day.
I think that is well known fact, for a lojg time. Given how shy they were in hard end-game content, like Auric board, no one, at least in position of power, plays the game on anythinf higher then normal Heresy, probably no games what so ever.
Community was asking for a long time, for some kind of streams where devs are playing their own game, same as in deep rock, but alas, no such privilege was given. Most probably, because there is no one on their team, that could play on a level that wouldn’t be comically bad.
Don’t project your feelings onto me. I’m not defeatist and never have been. I’m all in, in fact I had even shares in Tencent for a bit (but the Chinese stock market is tanking so I pulled out).
I’m specifically talking about attitude here. When a situation at current is not yet as good as it can be, there is different ways to react to that.
I’m not worried, I’ve seen some of the content that is in the pipeline. I have seen some of the code in development. I know this game is already a banger to play and will be even greater a year from now. It’s going exactly the same trajectory as VT2 did, but the content creation process is a bit slow on Fatshark’s side.
Still, it will be an amazing game, in fact it already is.
As for me being “condescending”. What do you want? I ask you.
You come in here. You give off a lot of hostility. I’m not saying feelings of negativity are always totally unwarranted. But when is it enough?
You and many others treat this (and most of Gaming in general) with a level obscenity that is staggering. So hypercharged on emotions, you cannot stay rational.
Then you go everywhere giving off this vibe and you’re surprised people eventually take a snarky tone back? Are you for real?
He’s a sick man who actually enjoys darktides loot chase…
Great. Now you can move on. I came here to talk about the state of the game, not listen to social commetary on vibes from people who think DT situation is fine.
Getting into DT in january from VT I have to say I prefer DT’s loot: there’s no huge incentive into playing with full books, there’s no red to grind for, game feels a lot more free. With less than 300h i’m basically set (I am still looking for some blessings on the weapons i really like, but nothing really preventing me from playing auric, or even maelstorm). With 3000 hours I still need red loot in VT if only to try and keep up with the new skins (I’m lagging behind).
The only ridiculous thing is that I have ~1000000 ordo, 20k+ diamantine and 0 plasteel. If they gave us a way to convert diamantine into plasteel (or even buying some plasteel) this would be fine.
The only reason why I like playing vt2 now is because I don’t feel like I have to grind for reds. The game is better without feeling like grinding for gear. That’s why everybody likes the athanor system and dislikes the base system, and it’s also why every new person I’ve tried bringing on likes chaos wastes and hates the base game.
what prevented you from playing cataclysm before hitting reds?
to me it seems you’re applying a double-standard
Hopefully future me will learn from past me to know to wait at least 4-5 years after launch to buy another fatshark game.
They know exactly what they’re doing. VT1 had the most deterministic crafting, being able to reroll the values of mods, only keeping higher values. They’ve sadly decided to make each subsequent implementation more obtuse.
I bought the game early because I am confident they will eventually sort it out
Huh? I’ve been playing V2 since beta, on release red drop chance was extra low and i farmed all reds for every character within 1500 hours.
I have something like 3k hours on PSN and I have about 5-10 reds max, half of which are weapons I prefer less!
I play myself with bots only tho, and only started Legend in the last 300 hours or so.
I just cant get friends to play V2. They simply dont like how it feels or the systems at play. Maybe I can get them in to DT when/if it comes out on PSN, its far more friendly than V1 or 2.
