Suggestion
Last stand ability (Note: I am not super deep into W40K lore so take this with a pinch of salt)
So your team got wiped out and you are surrounded without stealth ability so chances are that you have no chance to prevail current horde. Well, what if your ability changed to an ultimate version for the respective class to give you some fighting chance?
Psycher - “Void storm” - opens warp rift that sucks in all enemies while saying something like “I take you all down with me” should cause peril to be at 100% for the next 2 minutes or some debuff like this.
Ogryn - “Where is my nosh!” - Melee attacks heal 1% / range attacks heal 0.2% of HP channing more than 3 attacks heal 5% range dmg resistance 50% ability has no cooldown and weapons special (Q) is replaced with Grap - can grasp human-sized enemy and use them as weapon or throw them
Zealot - “Chant of Damned” - Zealot will chant holy scripture immediately restoring health to the max and generating toughness + 20/sec. Attack speed + 10% all attacks cause 2 bleed and impact +30% cleave +50%. Q is replaced with “Be redeemed” insta killing human-sized elite/specialist with their weapon.
Veteran - “For the Guard” - Pressing Q will stab to death a human-sized enemy if its elite/specialist with a ranged weapon Veteran will grap the enemy’s ranged weapon dealing with it 100% suppression and also gaining 15% extra crit. (this is for rapid-fire weapons from gunners, dregs), killing Bomber with Q will give you Fire grenades. Use enemy special weapons against them. Weak stop finness 50% Melee attack restore 100% more toughness rande weapons hits restore 20 Toughness.
This can happen only once per match and last 90 seconds.
I don’t have it super-theory crafted just some raw numbers to represent the idea.
Lobbies typically dissolve to fast if multiple people go down, I don’t think there is very much time for clutching these days. Plus, as an Ogryn main I’ll just pick you up, pal!
So, you just want it to be impossible to lose a mission?
Idk, when there’s only one player left, it’s their time to shine and show off their skills! Would make it pretty boring and easy with that kind of stuff.
first, focus on improving your own skills. try to see how well you can fight without relying on OP weapons.
take your time to learn the game. If you do, even if you’re the last one standing on the highest difficulty, you’ll be more than capable of saving the team.
Just looking at the title I thought it referred to the ability to shoot your ranged weapon while downed. So, I was going to jokingly suggest that there should be a Martyrdom ability where you detonate a satchel charge on your position a second or so after you go down. But then I decided I’d rather have the ability to use the satchel charge normally without having to go down first.
