Laspistol and sprint: is spam clicking left-click to fire meant to cancel sprint while shooting?
Is the maximum RoF meant to be lesser while sprinting?
I’m guessing the chain is what cancels the sprint. Most melee chains are reset when sprinting and they also cancel the momentum. Guns also have chains, but they’re instead called salvos.
Right, but the laspistol can actually shoot while sprinting, innately.
My question was: getting the “max” rate of fire while spam clicking cancels sprint, but you can shoot slower and still sprint, is the spam click cancel intentional or a bug?

I’m telling you, chains/salvos and sprinting are mutually exclusive actions. You cannot sprint and continue a chain/salvo at the same time. Sprinting cancels chains/salvos. Rapidly firing a semi-automatic counts as a salvo. There is an input window after an attack lands/a shot is fired to buffer another attack/shot as a part of a chain/salvo. Blessings that make use of chains/salvos exist for both melee and guns.
Combat Knife can chain heavy attacks and sprint at the same time, so it’s not like Laspistol shouldn’t be able to do the same.
