i cant find reliable Informations, some are too old, not sure what was in the latest patches etc.
Whats the overall difference between the Accatran MK II and the Kantrael MK X?
I read about Blessings and Perks, but nothing what the difference is, like faster shooting what does crit more etc.
Actually using a Kantrael MK X with no good blessings or anything, just trying to find out what suits my playstyle and is fun with my least palyed classe Veteran.
What you are generally looking for from them?
MK II has better DPS I can tell you that much, but the MK X can have better burst with lucky crits.
I think MK II is better since both of them use the same blessing set of DumDum + Infernus, and MK II can actually stand a decent chance of actually stacking burn up with its faster fire rate.
Either one is viable though, and a great weapon to pair up with a low mobility melee weapon.
From a min maxers viewpoint I’d just choose the MK II since its both easier, and has more reliable DPS.
I personally like the heavy variety more.
Sure, the old one has better DPS and better ammo economy, and that can be quite useful in a lot of cases.
But then, I’ve mostly used it on a Psyker with Disrupt Destiny so far in a mad dash to find something that’s not a revolver to use for a bit, and getting a quick kill is more important than all those other considerations.
I honestly recommend mods here.
Autofire on a Laspistol is really comfortable, and being able to see your current crit chance etc. by just looking in your inventory in the Psykanium answers a lot of questions you might eventually have.
On a Veteran - it’s probably never going to happen in actual play, but theoretically - the Laspistols have some obscene weakspot dps. The MK2 is probably the better choice there if you intend to actually use it as a main weapon.
Kantrael X is disgustingly bad while the Accatran is merely horrible. 4 target weaknesses, no range and no ammo. There are much better weapons nuking Flak in the game… Somehow we get takes that things like Hellbore and Kantrael Infantry las need buffs more.
i actually use a MK X and pair it with a Catachan MK 1 for Horde clear.
I use it vs. all specialists, all ranged enemies and even vs. Crusher and alike.
I think i have to try both, but allways short on ressources and dockets and have to find decent ones.
I run a VoC build with long shot, opening salvo, fully loadad + shock trooper, Frag Grenade and +20%dmg to Ogryns and Monstrosities.
edit: changed some stuff and went weapon specialist and got an Accatran MKII with “Between the Eyes”, lots of experimenting
so the MK X does more damage and is slower firing, but MKII higher DPS?
played Hellbore III before, thing is i’m rp’ing to some degree and Vet is my least played class, because i just had not much fun with him until.
I know there is much better choices in regards of min-mxing, but all the meta plays with any classe are really boring to me.
So after some playing i can defintely say that the MK X has higher Kill potential in general.
i dont even have a good one, but even when the MK II is very accurate the ttk a Crusher for example is higher and because in mission everything moves and the screen is full of effects it’s harder to stay on target.
Hello. I have tried the Las Pistols and found they were much weaker than my XII Rifle. That said I liked the X out of all of the ones I tried
I think that the Las Pistols would be more feasible or use-able if you had them with the rifle. Back in Vermintide 2, there was some classes that could have two melee weapons. If you could do that again that may help bring some use I think
tbh i wouldnt use it as a sencond ranged sidearm.
I’m also not after using the best performance weapons, in this case there is “the meta” and in case of Darktide especially the breakpoints and almost everyone saying something different about this or that.
The fun i get from the game is experiemting with new skill system and RP.
I used Scoreboard and such to know what i do, but i dont use it anymore and my overall experience is much better, because i run RP Builds and in the eyes of someone a meta loadout and the scoreboard and good gear i wont stand a chance to compete with.
On top of that i have barely 30 frames and struggle with performance.
Tried the new laspistol. Not a weapon I would love to play with… but definitively an interresting weapon.
I don’t like kantrael lasgun, and the laspistol seems close to them in term of feeling…
Anyways, in lasguns, I love only helbore (great except the lack of correct ironsight / scope / aiming help solved by weapon customization mod) and recon lasgun (beautifull… great in malice… garbage at higher difficulties… and here nothing can save it)
