Lag compensation efficiency starts declining with each day after any update release

Im not fluent in english still ill try to leave here tech report, however i can, and as much described as possible for little or no room for random or insufficient data (hadrons dialog speech moment lol (i should turn off all of them they stucking in my head already..)).

After each update be that hotfix or minor/major update for the game its servers (or something else? like lag compensation maybe) slowly starting to reject hit registration as more days pass until next.. tech maintenances. I have 80-130 ping with ± stable 60-70 fps but it has no difference if ping lowest value of 80 or the highest 130 or fps drops its just happening everytime the more days passed.

First time when i noticed all this happening was when the first major update appeared introducing skill trees for all classes (and yes i didnt report it at that time since nobody else noticed anything up until now). After that the more updates came the worsen it went and still going, at least for me - it starts happening earlier and earlier with each release.

Right now it works like this:

  • first week or two everything is normal, everything counted, no issues so far just once or twice for the whole time may happen

  • then suddenly a whole next week i cant land a headshot on walking or running enemies properly like poxes or groaners or normal troops. it happens every 7th to 9th shots, could be worse but bearable(and that will happen very soon). The rest things still working just fine

  • and here there goes the 3rd or 4th week and later weeks, like now when event is on going but closing to its end - the stolen rations event. Every 4th 5th shot landed on any standing walking or running enemy in any spot goes nowhere. Game only playing sound of hit but nothing happens even if you turn on an addon that shows health bars - youll see that damage didnt count as well. Or if you try to land just enough hits to kill them in the body - they will die in that right amount of hits leaving no room for mistake that your previous shot(s) for sure did nothing.

AND ok let that be just some packet loss or choke i would just get the last bullet back like nothing happened, in super rare accidents i get bullets back, BUT NO those idle standing troops that supposed to get that hit still going on alert and run towards me.

Beside ranged hit reg problems more goes awry - enemies running sometimes in walls or in place, or dodges not counted, pushing not applied once or twice in the row, melee hits sometimes not registred as well but i cant be sure if thats not packet choking since no tools made for debug ingame.

Only evidence that i have right now are my clips made via nvidia software. I can edit them make cuts and slow them in certain part for better visuals since im using addons hud a kind of a mess and send it if needed. Some players while gaming saying the have the same issues as well not just me so here i am now reporting all this.. mess.

ps I have no idea if this will be solved, in my opinion servers need to be restarted once in 3-4 weeks, why - i suspect that this is caused by some piling errors in server cache or its networks since after every new patch things went back normal in most cases (rarely at some hotfixes nothing changed but you see how it goes now)

It’s incredible how you can see the server room’s resident hamster get tired running the wheel in real time as time passes after an update…

Not only do we suffer our inputs and hitreg degenerating more and more, but steadily increasing numbers of those Gunners and Reapers that clearly watched the ancient Terran Holodrama “Wanted” with the Psyker James McAvoy get deployed; seemingly just bending bullets around corners and through what once before worked as cover, (and most notably for Reapers especially of course, directly out of their ration-ejecting end) - Among many other instances of warp-related tomfoolery.

Honestly, hats off to FatShark on this front; Real-time server degeneration post-update feels like the one thing they’re most consistent with :joy:

I’ve been suffering ghost hits a lot more recently, it’s run ending in some cases even and it’s frustrating the everkarkin hell out of me…

not sure if it’s related, but last few games I can’t reliably tag enemies anymore.. which is freaking painful as arbi, it just makes the dog a passive
