Not special/elite related , im talking about dreggs and scabs. they are silent 12 can walk out of a door behind you and the first you know is (if your lucky) the backstab inc warning or often just the sound of being hit.
In v2 all the monsters had thier own aggro barks and made noise as they moved around you didnt have to see a pack of slave rats to know they are coming.
not only does it really negatively impact gameplay it also makes it feel like enemies are just apearing out of thin air around you. they should have the aggro and moving noises like in V2 imo.
I’d love to see more audio ques as well. I don’t mind the little goons having no huge audible hints but something at least would help to fight the feeling of being cheated into getting hit.
A sound of those “spawn” doors that are littered on the walls as an example would be a cool start as well and you won’t feel like they teleported behind you or plopping out of a wall.
whats interesting is to go back and listen to v2 it sounds so much more alive a pack of slave rats have a spawn noise as they sort of bubble up out of the ground, they aggro with chatter and as they come towards you can hear there little scratchy chattering.
but in Dt is liek bam 12 mobs just popped into existence in that area you cleared 5 seconds ago, as they silently lurch at you attacking like a pack of mimes.
