I’m having the same problem too but I was using mods like healthbars, remaining dodges and tagpoints only, since this update dropped I get constant crashes during loading to character selection everytime. I tried doing clean install and still the same.

If your current character is Ogryn with the cosmetics that is crashing, you can quickly select a different operative during the character selection to get around the crash.
The thing for me is that it crashes before getting to character selection hub not after selecting a character, because that would have been solved by now saying avoid this or this for time being, and in fact my ogryn has equipped pickaxe in more than one loadout.

Please stop pushing code to prod without testing xD
Game instant CTD on char select menu with error code (see below)
Apparently, as said by my friend, you can bypass it if you have slow pc and character model has not loaded and you spam spacebar like a maniac.
Unfortunately this is not the case for me as it crashes in less than a microsecond
Verifying files does not solve the issue

Had this blasted crashing as well at character select. Pressed start, crashed during load. Tried with switching char before pressing start, managed to load into Mourningstar. Disabled mods atm, but I assume that doesn’t matter.
Edit: Exiting to character select, crash at the screen again. But it works fine if I get out of there before it crashes XD
Edit 2: Switched to my ogryn, loads to mourningstar, crashing at party screen instead. Psyker seem to work once inside Mourningstar
