We believe this error indicates connection to Epic’s servers are being blocked in some way. Most commonly, access to https://api.epicgames.dev/sdk/v1/default
Please try the following:
- Restart your PC and router
- Ensure you have latest Windows updates installed
- Check your Anti-Virus, Firewall and network settings and ensure connection to Epic is not being blocked
If the error persists, we suggest contacting your ISP and explaining the situation to them, as they may be able to assist or provide further information on the connection.
Some players are reporting using a VPN as a successful workaround. We appreciate the use of a VPN is not possible for all players, and that it is not a permanent solution. However, for players that do have access to a VPN this may help in the meantime.
