UPDATE to my post above:
So I was able to redo all 7 missions on malice which finished “Praise the God-Emperor! (2)” but I still don’t have credit for the first one and the cowl achievement hasn’t unlocked even though I’m working on Praise the God-Emperor! (3).
can feel it. got the exact same bug

Issue Description:
I have completed the Penances ”Buying Time” on November 23 before the server went down mid-mission. Both the game and Steam recognize the Achievement completion, but the game does not register it in an odd way. I have since attempted to complete it multiple time and at least twice have hit the requirements, yet the Penances refuses to register completion. I am at this time, certain my account will not register completion as it seems the trigger for completion has been flagged, but not the one to register it.

Issue Description:
I have completed penance for zealot’s pants (don’t know how it called correctly, “respite” I guess?). But server bugged at the end of the mission, and I lost all unlocks of that mission (it was on 21-24 of November, the day when the server maintenance was run). Now I can’t unlock this penance, even if I fullfill the conditions.

When I did the returning Disruption map I managed to get something unlocked.
However, it’s only the second steps of Penances and not the first ones that are still bugged.
Seeing how I’m currently working on Vantage Point (3) but Vantage Point (1) is still unlocked.
And since Vantage Point (1) is bugged I’m locked out and can’t get any of the following head cosmetics.
I really hope this will be fixed soon.
Perhaps when you re-release one of the missions that was taken off due to extra fixing (that was taken off before this happened) I, and every one, can unlock these bugged ones.
As if I remember correctly there was 2 that was taken off at one point ( Espionage).
But now when I think about it, I shouldn’t have been able to advance to the third one if that was the case? Unless I’m miscalculating.

Is there any update to this bug? Will it be fixed post launch?
Look at the first post in this thread.
They said they have no way of fixing it as it is right now.
But they also said that doing the Penance requirements again will (should) unlock it.
But I kinda doubt that since I’ve gone past the first Penance and unlocked the second one.
Which should mean that I should’ve unlocked the first one at the same time if anything.
This might be permanent unless they manage to find a way down the road.
I’ve read it. Was looking to see if there was another update or not since they show complete and many others are in the same boat. They also said they wouldn’t fix it currently due to this being a beta, but where progress is carrying over into launch, if they planned to make the fixes then or not.
I guess we just have to wait and see.
I surely hope that they’ll find a way to fix it.
Force the game to unlock previous stages of penances if you’re on a higher one, perhaps.

The problem is pretty much the same as everyone else on this thread, but I am 100% sure I have recompleted the criteria as per the post multiple times over, but still not awarded anything. This needs to be fixed somehow down the line.

I have recompleted the requirements for this penance as advised and have not been awarded the completion. The text still states 7/7.

I have the same issue. Got 7/7 on Vantage Point without it being completed due to server error, completed Vantage Point (2) and now i’m on Vantage Point (3) but it doesn’t seem to count towards the progress for On Target, which still shows Vantage Point as incomplete.
Nope.
I just did Espionage on Heretic and I didn’t get any of the bugged Penances.
