Also i made sure to do everything in the performance pannel, i close any other background program, uninstalled my tablet drivers. but always get that fatal error. My RAM is 8Go but i am told it’s not normal
After Hotfix 1.0.14 it got a lot better, but RAM usage still accumulates quite fast. New Session in hub i have around 4-5 gb usage. After some rounds it grows to 6-8 gb usage. The memory leaks are still not solved completely imo.
Is there any update on this? I still cannot play the game even though there is no issue on my end. I know there is a lot of work on your plate, but this seems like a pretty major fix. Even just a “Hey , we are working on a fix for this” would go a long way. I look forward to getting back to purging heretics.
After a week of errors and issues, now there’s a memory leak… Great… I’ve been able to play about 35h so far with multiples crashes and reports sent to you guys, so my rig is not the problem here…

Reproduction Rate:
Constant - happens every time I try loading into the game.
I have already ensured the ‘Virtual Memory’ is already set to ‘Automatically Manage Paging File Size for All Drives’
My PC Specs are as follows:
NVIDIA Quadro P2200
Intel i5-10600K CPU @4.10GHz, 4104 Mhz, 6 Core(s)
16 GB RAM
23.8 inch ASUS VP249 monitor
Resolution 1920 x 1080
From the launcher settings button I have it set to Low.
A few days ago I bought the game and tried to start it and I had the exact same problem as well as when I initially start the game directly from the launcher, it was giving me a shader cache error ‘Exit Code = 1’. But the game would still load and get to the problem that I am reporting above. I uninstalled, refunded and waited for you guys to get another patch out before once again trying to play the game. This time I did not encounter the shader cache error, but came to the same Fatal Error - Out of Memory crashing error.
Hi.
I looked at your crash dump file, and it seems that something goes wrong when it attempts to load the shader cache. No idea why this have happened, but I believe the files have been corrupted somehow. It should be resolvable by removing these files from your %appdata%/Roaming/Fatshark/Darktide folder:
shader_cache.hans
shader_library.pso_lib
state_stream_library.pso_lib
Remove these files will cause the shader cache builder to run again and hopefully generate non corrupt files.
It will mostly happen after I finish a mission or two, then when loading into another i’ll get hit with the out of memory error. Once it occurs, I’ll have to restart my entire system just for it to happen again after a mission or two. I have a paging file set, I’ve tried having different amounts of worker cores set, I’ve tried lower settings and higher settings, nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated a ton! thank you for your time!

My PC Specs all follow the minimum requirements to play the game, even higher than necessary.
I have also verified the game files via Steam to check if any got corrupted during download, but everything was fine.
From the launcher settings, I have the Quality set to Low and all other settings set to Off.
I’m from Brasil.
I bough the game today with the Imperial Edition and havent been able to play it yet. It costed me a lot of money and since I aparently cant refund it, I’m trying everything to make it work.
Thank you so much! The game loaded up again after I deleted these files. I appreciate you and your team working on all these issues. Now to purge more heretics.
I can’t play the game yet, I’m still having issues on loading in and I’ve tried everything on my end. Is there any kind of update on the problem? Even a “we’ve looked your problem and are working on it” would go a long way, I don’t want to refund this before even having a chance to play.
From the log file, it looks like you’re running Driver version: 44187, that’s nearly 3 years old. Updating your driver may help, but I don’t think your hardware meets the minimum spec.
The GTX 1050 is about 50% slower than the minimal spec GTX 970.
The i5 7400 is about 10% slower than the minimal spec i5 6600.
Not trying to be mean, or rude or anything, but you do not meet the minimum specs for the game. You’re close on the CPU but way under on the GPU. I would go for an system upgrade, or a refund.
Still dealing with this constantly. I either need to restart my entire system for it to still happen after a mission or 2, or if i’m lucky, sometimes i just restart steam and it MIGHT let me play again, but most of the time i just have to restart my whole system. I’m 50 hours in and i love the game, but man it sucks when this happens constantly ):
Additional Information:
I understand that there’s already a pinned thread about the issue, but this has been a persistent issue for me and tons of others for the past few weeks and I just my voice to be heard. I’ve also already posted on the thread as well, but with no response nor luck.
Issue Description: Out of Memory error crash when lauching the game (after cinematics, when waiting for Inquisatorial Authorisation to load the menu). I have more than the minimal setup, I’ve emptied the disks, reinstalled the PC, tried both SSDs, did all I had to do regarding Automatic paging file size managing, everything I could. Maybe it’s my GPU ? Please help.
