Issue Description:
I can’t create a character named Janus. This seems to be a common name, including in the Warhammer 40K universe. It displays information to me that this name is not suitable, although it has more than three characters and it consists only of Latin letters.
Had the name of the Supreme Grand Master of the Order of the Gray Knights been forgotten? Is this heresy?
Yes, I also thought about it, but the names of everything in Warhammer are based on the Church Latin (called High Gothic in the 40K), where the endings «us», «anus» are found regularly. There is no need to look for an example for a long time, the same Ferrus Manus comes to mind first.
Perhaps I should have written this report not only about the name of Janus (what i wanted to name my character), but about this incident with particles «us», «anus» ets.
I’m against plain censorship and the contest must be evaluated.
Moreover if some particular words are inherently offensive, 2 letters are just 2 letters.
lmfao 2 months later from this and it still ain’t fixed, thank god I refused this and its free on gamepass so I can get a laugh out of seeing this still broken to this date.
Hey @FatsharkJulia is it possible to get some kind of update on this issue? I’m still unable to use my name to this day which is a shame
I understand there are more pressing issues to make the game better like stability and all but this literally stops me from playing as it is a very important thing for me. Thanks in advance
Wow! Still no response! Great work Fatshark! I hate that you guys convinced me you made good games and did a good job. I don’t even care if things take time to fix, but when things are clearly being ignored, I do care. Even just some discussion back with the consumers would be nice, but nah you just ignore us all. I will probably not be getting on board with any future projects from you guys, even if they launch without any issues, I have been burned and am done supporting you guys.
Clearly this bug isn’t an issue at this point and it’ll never get fixed. They’ve had almost a year to fix something as simple as their name validation system and well, looks like par for the course for fatshark.
