KNOWN ISSUE: Incorrect Weapon Stats

This should have been fixed with the hotfix that just dropped.

Weapons with 80x4+59 or 61 are very common but 62+80x4 is a thing too.

I don’t really care about a couple of points more or less on the dump stat but I do care if it’s actually rounding down one of the priority stats.

So before empowering one of my weapons its max was all 80s and a 60. I then upgraded it all the way and noticed the 60 went down to a 57. I did a mission and now it’s 56. Fatshark pls fix before it reaches zero. >:c

I have a couple of weapons where the maths do not add. In the empower menu said 80 80 80 80 60 and when i empowered them to lvl 500 the 60 got 59 or 58. Which adds to 379 or 378 and not 380 as it should.

Why is this happening? And if this isn’t just visual will you fix it or we are stuck with fully empowered weapons that only add 379 - 378? I mean it’s not a huge deal but the whole point is spending time and resources for a perfect weapon and you actually find one and game says ā€œnop! I will make it 378 - 379 just for you to try againā€.

Please just remove decimals from weapon stat bars.
They are pointless and only cause confusion.

Issue Type (Required):

Weapons

Issue Description (Required):

Sometimes you’ll see an item where the bar stats don’t add up to the 380 cap properly. For instance you might have an item with four bars at 80%, but instead of 60% the remaining bar is at 59% or 61% specifically.

This can also do the reverse where one of the bars is 60 and a point is missing from what should be an 80% bar, 80-80-80-79-60 etc.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

Just look around the store and melks store and you’ll eventually find a weapon with bugged bars like this.

Issue Description (Required):

When empowering a weapon, its stat potential can fluctuate in the process that ultimately differ from what was originally promised.
For example, a weapon bought at brunt with 69% charge rate as max potential can have it magically be lowered to 68% after upgrading to max power.

In addition, something is very wrong with how weapons’ stat potential is distributed among the 5 stats when the weapons are created.
The vast majority lean in the 4x80+60 direction, and 3x80+2x70 is almost impossible to come by, not to mention even-70s spreads are almost completely gone.
These 2 issues combined makes crafting any weapon that doesn’t want 4x80+60 unbelievably frustrating, as if the game’s weapon creation system forgot that anything but 4x80+60 is even a possibility for stat distribution.

One really good example is Veteran’s Plasma Gun.
It ideally wants a spread of 80 damage, 80 stopping power, 80 ammo, 69 thermal resist and 71 charge rate.
This is because 69 thermal resist allows for 8 continuous shots instead of 7, and going higher has no real benefits so there’s no point to go higher than 69 in thermal resist, and that’ll leave 71 remaining stats to be allocated to charge rate (which directly influences rate of fire, and therefore total DPS).
I’ve spent over 2M dockets rolling for this specific weapon and have come across maybe a total of 5 stat distributions that lean into 3x80+2x70, but none are what I’m looking for as they had low damage rolls.
While the plasma gun is on the more extreme side of optimization, I do not believe that a 3x80+2x70 distribution need to be so unnaturally difficult to come by.
I apologize if I come off as harsh here, but I’m very frustrated at wasting so many ordo dockets and end up getting nothing that I wanted.
I do not feel respected whatsoever by this system’s current implementation of weapon stat generation.
This update is overall a significant step in the right direction, but it can still be better.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Acquire weapons from Brunt’s Armory and empower them continuously till max at Hadron.
  2. Notice weapon’s max stat potential can shift away from when the weapon was first acquired.
  3. Notice how the vast majority of weapons acquired lean into 4x80+60 spread distribution (1 significant dump stat, 4 others close to max)

I will add one to the pile:

At this point, I believe that there is no point in trying to tell how to reproduce this.
The funny thing is, I am rather certain that when I bought this yesterday, the Defences stat was at least 58%.

The break occurs on going from 390 to 400 when 500 is still locked.

Another one. This does not seem like a rounding issue. I’m not missing 1%. I’ve spent thousands of crafting mats on weapons that ended up being bricked.

I rolled for an 80 damage, 80 stopping power, 80 ammo, 70 thermal resist and 70 charge rate plasma gun on my veteran last night, and after empowering it a couple times, the thermal resist & charge rate stat potentials started changing to 69 charge rate and 72 thermal resist, with charge rate going lower to 68 if I continue to empower.

Would it be possible to restore it to what was originally promised (80 damage, 80 stopping power, 80 ammo, 70 thermal resist and 70 charge rate) and make sure it wouldn’t have its stat potentials changed by empowering? I’ve spent way too much rolling for plasma gun and the one time I get a good one the game screws me over :frowning:

It’s not fixed, it’s also not just a 1% rounding issue as shown in this screenshot

Update:
I checked my inventory today and it has magically dropped down to 68% charge rate without me doing anything to it. Just wonderful. I want my original roll (80% damage, 80% stopping power, 80% ammo, 70% charge rate and 70% thermal resist) back.

This is a new roll of plasma gun I acquired. It has effectively perfect distribution. The thermal resistance stat varies between 70% and 69% when viewed from inventory & hadron’s place. It also has the ā€œrounding errorā€ which leads it to have 381~382 total stats, somehow.

I’ve spent way too much in resources rolling for plasma and I don’t want this perfect roll to get bricked. I’m assuming the charge rate is actually somewhere between 70~71, despite reading off as 72 in both menus. Not sure about the thermal resist changing numbers though. When/if you guys fix this problem, would it be possible to keep it at 69 thermal resist (so it can continuously fire 8 shots from 0 heat) and 71 charge rate?

I’m also counting on you guys to fix the other plasma roll I posted above (original 70 charge rate, 70 thermal resist) which was wrongfully altered by the system into having 68 charge rate and 72 thermal resist.

Items are now created with 380 max points (the ~320 max point items are gone).
Visually, they can get up to 382 points due to rounding (79.5 79.5 79.5 79.5 62 is shown as 80 80 80 80 62), but that is fine.
If decimals are to be removed in the future, already existing weapons should keep their stats as they are currently displayed (unless the same update also enables players to redistribute stat points on their items for a price).

Still existing problem is, that max stats shift around. The upgrade process can still change the MAX stat distribution to something different than what it was originally shown to be (this can decrease the same stat on an item multiple times, and this change is even displayed in the ā€œupgrade previewā€ stats on the right side of the upgrade interface).
This problem still persists. It happens quite frequently with items that have 2 non maxed stats.

Just reporting that this also happened to me last night when I fully Empowered this Combat Blade. It’s just a 1% swap in stats, but it still shouldn’t happen.

No. 15 Burn stacks start at 76.

This is true. They do now.
75% used to be sufficient a while ago, but no longer is.

I bought some white weapons on the Psyker as a basis for upgrades, and I was pretty sure that the upgrade cap was 80 70 70 80 80, which exactly what I need, but when I upgraded the weapon to a certain level, the cap changed to 80 67 73 80 80, which was not what I expected at all.
I know there might be some rounding issues, but I never thought it would produce this result, it doesn’t look like a rounding problem.

Throwing this in. Same bug. Got a plasma gun, stats were more or less as seen in the first image here.

Upgraded the weapon from 280 to 300 (300 seen above,) going from 300 to 400 changed stats as seen below.

Very disappointed as I had a good roll on the weapon and threw a ton of resources at it only to see the stats weren’t what I was told they’d be.

Decided to take it to full 500 and, yeah, the weapon just flat lied initially. Hope this gets fixed soon. Stats changed repeatedly.
