The upgrade system is currently bugged and randomly changes the max stats of items, when you upgrade them.
This is NOT due to rounding errors.
I lost millions of dockets by getting two god roll items bricked (see bug report below).

Purgatus staff with 75% max burn stat turned out as a 74% burn stat after upgrading it to max.
I bought a „few“ more.
Got one with 76% burn stat.
Before even upgrading it compeltely, the burn stat dropped to 74%.
(For those who do not know: 75-80% on the burn stat will give you 15 max burn stacks. At 74% you only get 14 max stacks.)

may they never fix this, i’m sick of people trying to perfect their weapons instead of learning how to play better than a rambo.

Is this real? I just got back and already sorted all my weapons and have a lot that have 4x80% as max potential. Now I am afraid of Empowering them? 
@Developer any comment on that?
For what it’s worth, none of the weapons I had in my inventory from before the update have done this. Could be an issue with acquisitions from Brunt’s
I pulled the trigger and empowered a few orange / high tier weapons I had and didn’t notice any issues with the numbers.
Haven’t tried empowering any newly purchased weapons.

Hmmm… now this is JUST a theory but what if every time you Consecrate weapon - it gets “rerolled” on its stats?
And that’s why people dont notice it on empowering already Orange weapons - becasue it’s already at its final form?

The fact that Jakal has not been banned yet is actually fantastical. Remember when he told @MeatVegetable to “get crushed by a train” for disagreeing with him? Or the time he bullied an old man for politely asking the Forums to help with his Darktide builds? Or the many times he posted something so horrible that it was taken down before I could even see it? He has never once been a contributing member of any Fatshark Forums conversation.
Others have been banned for significantly less.

On the positive side a few weapons turned out to be 381 weapons for me lmao.
Upgrades are so damn random.
I will just level up Mastery but won’t touch Empowering until this is confirmed or denied.

I thought I saw something weird when I upgraded something once…
Not seen that. I have only upgraded one from Brunt, a duelling sword, and everything went well.
I hope it is a small bug that can be fixed easily…
