I’m running with the columnus autogun but I’m having a hard time choosing between these two, mostly because it’s hard for me to tell the impact of stagger.
I’m asking this with an eye towards damnation+, where the ultimate can pretty much be spammed when you get waves of specials
The shout is really good on Damnation hi-int or shock-trooper (or almost any condition with more specials).
If you’ve got 2 veterans with the shout, everyone’s getting gold toughness all the time, which is really good against Snipers and Bursters (prevents any HP damage bleedthrough)
If you run Tactical Awareness For the Emperor probably provides decent dmg boost, but Columnus is unlikely to need it. Keep their heads down is a decent utility, as it allows you to suppress packs of shooters and gunners.
I do use golden shout and tactical awareness. Ping keystone too.
Do you need anything special to induce suppression? Focus firing on something? Spraying and praying?
While I don’t need the damage of Emprah for myself it goes to the allies as well, so it is tempting.
I dunno about heads down, because I can’t tell the difference yet. Things tend to die, but maybe it suppresses snipers and saves me getting a shot.
Missed the context of this one, sorry. Hence the repost.
I’ve got Keep their Heads Down in my build (Columnus with VoC - Build for Darktide - Darktide WH40k - Games Lantern).
I’m not sure why. I’ve probably followed an old guide at some point, and it’s evolved in to this eventually. I seem to do okay with the build in general - it’s fun, if not meta - so maybe it’s working well.
