I've played DarkTide for about 1500 hours. Here's my wishlist

Customization
I would agree with most of them expect for the weapon Customization, i would say sure for Cosmetics maybe for Special actions, but not for stats. as there is a reason on why it is like it for so many variants of different guns and that Forge-worlds it is written into the Lore of 40k that different forge Worlds produce different Patterns of the same gun. also i really don’t want to see what abominal creation people get up with trying to build the “Meta” Weapon with Combination in turns it into a Game of COD. in some respect where weapon building is all that matters so you can have that .2 of a second enhanced ADS Speed or reload speed. Changes need to be made for sure. but keep the way the weapon are, but change the special action and interaction of the special action like a full mag of Slug and Fire rounds for a Shotgun, a Bayonet instead of Flashlight on the Kantreal Pattern lasgun.

lore-narrative/story
OP how much of 40k have you read. i want to note Dan Didn’t write it he did some world building. but not really anything else. if you want to make it relative to the lore Start of with a Transpot ship and your a Penal Planet, the inquisition comes down and Give you a Choice to choose to serve the imperium, with Classes and Specialities a More indepth Background.
in a sense take the First Parts of Last Chancers, then modify with something like Long-shot and Karskin novels. if you want to add in something new you can go down some of the Adeptus Mechanicus style retrive this X or relic.

For Missions wise i would say the improvement to different location and types.
Boarding and Counter Boarding Spacestations and Ships
VIP Escort and extraction
Recruiting and/or Execution of Hive Citizen. as it is a very empty place expect full of dregs in the cut sences/Story we see the Population their, but in game we seen none of them. so show that maybe show some aspect of the PDF that haven’t fallen to the Morbian vi.

weapon
the 40k universe is full of interesting weapon part of the reason why i don’t want to see a COD style build your own is it take away the differnce of the weapon like what makes the Differnece between a
Mars Pattern Lasgun, a Lucius pattern Hellbore and a Vostroyan pattern lasgun? (answer me this and i will give a nod of deep lore and respect)
so for weaponary their a lot based on the Lore Based Forgeworld one can access and doesn’t need to create up new ones. Mars, Lucius, Voss Prime, agripinaa, Accatran, Gryphonne IV, Garia, Goth, Hesh, Metalica, Kiavah and Ryza. just some examples. but the weaponry they produce the one that we are missing which is kind of sad the 2 of note for Veteran players are the Scoped Ryza hotshot lasgun that they Showed off in concept art and the Meltagun.

role anti-armoured can deal with Flak and Carapeace armour with the hotshot Weaponry but can’t suppress enemies easily will be overwhelmed. melee is average.

Zealot Crusader
-Zealot Agro Tank, drop the Range weapon pick up another melee. with a ultimate of Pryus fury, attract enemy attention deal it back. also treat it like Mini-me for Ogyrn. but not as tanky but far more agile.

Psyker- More powers or new Powers.
-Biomancy Displine like Warp speed, Iron arm.
Telepathy with Fury, Confusion and Invisibility.
Telekiness with Vortex of Doom!!!! and Maledictum(Jinx).
Navigator with the Emperor’s Gaze (Emperor’s wrath psychic power) if you can see it it gets a 3rd eye beam.

Ogyrn see adeptus Mechanicus suggest above.
