It's ok if we don't get major updates every month

I definitely agree that the meta being left to pickle in its own juices for months and months, when it’s objectively far from being balanced and diverse on high difficulty modes, is probably in the Top 5 of issues that dissuade people from coming back and playing regularly.

Just like VT2 it sit around few thousand “concurrent” players for few years. Won’t be like tens of thousands but it won’t be like dead. It will be even pace like VT2 numbers i.e. 2000, 3000, 5000 etc on steam anyway as can’t see numbers on console.

The concern is their next game being on unreal engine 5. As some job postings ask for such experience.

Look at the other unreal engine 5 games now and how unoptimised they can be in adventure games with very few AI NPCs and slow pacing.

Now imagine you throw in a 1000 horde + Fast game pacing into unreal engine 5.

Now this is assuming they are working on another horde coop game. It could be a single player game and they have made such games in the far past.

Yeah I’ve heard UE5 is a disaster in terms of optimization because it’s basically tailor-made for Fortnite, ‘cause it’s Epic Games’ biggest cash-cow or something
