They kinda did: before the Overhaul the “John Darktide” was a Cadian vet with a Mk12 Kantrael and Power Sword.

Perhaps check the game lantern build explorer. Might be able to infer some data from this.
I would think they’d keep this data private, so they can nerf whatever is most popular and cause as much frustration as possible. After all, maximizing frustration is a core part of their game design.
Tbh I think Com V IAG would be at the top currently. I saw like 1 or 2 every match, at least around my region.
