Not a single mention at Warhammer Skulls
I guess we’re not getting at least promised 2026 weapon pack are we
came here just for this, i thought we’d see something in the event for the weapons because everyone here kept saying “watch the skulls event, they’ll be there !!!” and now after the event, i’m sitting here wondering why people kept saying that. fatshark made no indication they would appear at the event for anything outside of darktide, so… i guess we can just continue to twiddle our thumbs in the hopes that they’ll at least give us the courtesy to say that vermintide is no longer being worked on. no new weapons, no new maps, nothing.
I agree, I’d take them just telling us that new weapons aren’t coming straight away, instead of keeping the radio silence
Could have at least released the unused poses and unused helmets to pass for “new content”, but I’m starting to feel like one frame and 5 recolored glowing weapons is the most that we’re getting this year
As I know Fatshark, they will probably release new weapons in a few years, when no one will expect it, with any notice in advance.
Realistically speaking they don’t have “few years”. If you refer to Versus that was released like 5 years after the announce, they released whole lot of other content in the meantime.
We’re talking just 5 weapons right now: radio silence for half a year, no new actual content, no promises for new content this year at all. Darktide is getting more new melee weapons over time than Vermintide does.
They have as much time as they want…
Is Fatshark dying or something ?
As if games themselves cannot die
Realistically, games like this either keep receiving updates consistently, or they slowly die off. Every long content drought means declining player interest and a shrinking community. And fewer players means the next paid content drop becomes less profitable as well.
You need to maintain momentum with games like this if you want to make it profitable. Do you seriously think that if a game receives no meaningful updates for an entire year and then suddenly drops one content patch, it will generate the same player growth and profit as a game that was actively supported throughout that whole year? Of course not.
When games like this enter stagnation, they die. That is the natural lifecycle, and pretending otherwise is just denial.
And this is not “doomer panic” or whatever. Games die all the time. I can absolutely accept Vermintide eventually reaching the point where no more major paid content is produced and the playerbase declines for good.
But let’s at least call things what they are instead of pretending this never happens to games.
At this point; wouldn’t mind if someone else can take a crack at the IP and Tide franchise or outsource the Fatshark games to someone else and see what they can come up with.
Boltgun 2 looks absolutely sick and much improved from the first game.
A Tide game, boomer shooter, would have been epic.
There are reasons why there are not more warhammer games.
And Tbh, FS make tide games cause its their special/specific interest, nothing would stop another studio from doing tide like gameplay. But regardless, i’ll play what ever FS put out if the gameplay is good, and it is.
You must be new around here. Fatshark thrives off radio silence. If it has any chance of causing a negative reaction, they just don’t say anything and hope we forget. Continuing to remind them just makes them double down. I’d know, I’ve been asking about where Solo Mode is in Darktide for 3 years and we haven’t heard a peep since October 2023
warhammer as an ip has among the most games tho
Warhammer 40k has alot of games, no doubt. The same is however not true for Warhammer Fantasy.
i get what your saying, i wish there was more.
but lets not kid ourselfs fans of 95% of franchises would absolutely kill to get close to this many titles. quality ofc is an entirely different topic
Misguided updates, bizarre priorities, and a seeming refusal to communicate with players… there are definitely parts that are frankly just bad. But if you look purely at the quality of their games, they’re among the top AA studios, and in this area there are even aspects that AAA studios can’t really replicate.
There’s no doubt they have highly skilled designers and developers, and if they released a new game, it would probably sell extremely well.

Like, dude, stop.
It’s over when Fatshark says it’s over.
I agree that it isn’t over for Vermintide but I think that’s a little optimistic to think its not over until the company says it is.
Kind of like Imperator territory if you ask me.
