After years of playing with a friend all of the sudden it seems like the game doesn’t understand we aren’t in the same session anymore. After sending an invite to him he is unable to join but the game prevents me from playing anyway. He will start his own solo mission, and my game will still not let me play because it says it’s still waiting on him to join. I literally can’t play the game, even solo, until he closes his game first, and then the cycle just repeats, no matter which of us tries hosting. We’ve never had any connection issues in our 3+ years of playing the game together until now and we’ve tried everything we can think of from inviting each other through alt accounts to even uninstalling the game and reinstalling it. Nothing has worked at all so far.

could you grab a gamelog even tho this aint a crash its good to look at what the game is trying to do and where it fails.

anyway this is likely not an connectivity problem but a gamestate one

close down the game, completely shutdown steam and restart the PC, then proceed to open steam and start Vermintide 2, now important dont join each other, both of you start a match and and wait ca. 1minute at this point quit to keep, it should have resynced steam and FS backend.

Appreciate the advice but I’m not on pc it’s Xbox. Thought I said that. My bad. But we’ve both done entire solo missions to try to fix the issue as well. Once we try to join each other, no matter what the circumstances are, the entire game breaks for whoever is hosting. Even if we’re trying to join in the middle of a mission
