Is there a way to block someone out of game?

Just had the worst game in over 1000+ hr of game and wasn’t because the team was bad (mostly). We had one player was just constantly getting down, trapped, mutied (in a Hitense Gutlent so I aint judging) but he was just in the mic constantly berating the rest of us for “sucking”. It was the most self righteous arrogant beetching i’ve ever encountered. I unfortunately didnt get to block him before the game kicked us back to the morning star and the previous game tab is a useless list of random player I’ve never seen before.

I want to block this person even if the chance of encountering him again is miniscule. I don’t even want the chance to encounter this person ever again. Nothing has made me not want to play DT again more than hearing a grown man being such a child.

Apparently they got Steam’s recent player list to work with Darktide. Loose definition of working.

the described situation is exactly why I use ^this^ mod and “show steam profile” option in socials.

I can understand you… I have seen someone telling me to return to heresy. He did 110k damages and me 260k…
Just ignore such guys…

What you can do?

  • download the mod Who are you to be able to get steam account names
  • when you encounter such situation, press ESC, go to social and try to mute other players. Once you determinated who it was, click “Block” and confirm. Do that in game, and do not wait after it ended.
  • after being blocked, click “Vote to kick” and wait for the vote of your teamates. There are chances that what annoys you will annoy also your teamates…

Is there a way to get it to work on previous games players? Am I missing some sort of setting option for the mod?

This: Open Steam Profile at Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Nexus - Mods and community mod helps a ton too, lets you go directly to someones steam profile from the social tabs, both mid mission and on the mourningstar.

This is what I was referring to by “show steam profile”, that’s my bad I messed up the name.
