Ironhelm moveset feels bad now

Oh, I didn’t even realise that. I thought all the Devil Claws had a similar light combo of Vanguard → Vanguard → Strikedown (with one variant having an extra Vanguard at the end)

EDIT: Or are you counting the push attack as one of the three single target attacks?

Mk4 has no strikedown light, its the push attack instead. On the Mk1 it has a strikedown light but its push attack is a cleaving strike. On Mk7 you get both strikedowns, one as L3 and the other your push attack.

But the biggest issue is the attack angles being terrible on the vanguard slashes, so unlike all catachan swords it will not do good horde damage. And its a lot worse than Mk4 at killing taggables.

This is why I want it to have H2 after L3, so it could at least focus on one thing. Maybe it needs a big finesse boost on that double strikedown combo like the Mk6 power sword got.

I would’ve sworn it did… I could be misremembering and I’m away from my PC so I can’t confirm. I can’t shake the idea that I’ve seen big headshot hits on the light combo (that would match a Strikedown) in the Psykhanium, and I have only used the Mk IV in recent weeks.

Hopefully I forget about this, because this is gonna bother me until I can see it with my own eyes :joy::joy:

Anyway, I’m getting off topic, Ironhelm push combo is big sad.

Have wiser words been said?

The new move set gives ebola (real).

You’re supposed to mix your lights and heavies for this sword. Combo is:

H1-L1 for hordes and L1-H2 for elites. If memory serves. Lots of weapons have patterns like that. The MK2 is fun because its best combo is H1-L1-L2-H2 which nets a pretty sleak elite kill combo. Feels good, great headshot bonuses.

Caught ebola (real) again from trying to use the ironhelm again.

Good luck with your ebola, sir.

At least we got chainaxe and crusher, right?

Sadly…no, chain axe has been shown to be worse than first thought. The original data showed a small enough gap to be margin of error, on adding 50 groaners to my horde set the distance in clear speed expanded greatly. Lights also take a lot of stacks to wind up and just don’t impress. More testing is required but right now the chainaxe seems to be the red headed step child of the weapons.

The chainaxe can’t clean horde faster than ironhelm??

The chaxe can’t clean horde faster than the friggen crucis?!?!

Animations for chain weapons play a huge role in clear time. It’s the reason eviscerator isn’t any faster despite having great clear potential. Chain axe have exceptionally annoying animations even on light attacks, which in the end makes it greatly slower than tactical axes.

The horde clearing attacks for chainxe is block attack and heavy attack.

I have a strong suspicion that using lights would be faster (or at least, not slower) in this case.

So uh, fix ironhelm and then fix chainaxe… you heard it here bois.
