We need to revert the changes to the push-attack combo on the ironhelm. The new change where the pushattack is followed by all vertical swings messes up this weapons flow. If you put it up to a poll, undoubtedly the majority want it to be reverted to the heavy 2.
As it stands now, the ironhelm is slow and bad with killing and managing hordes. You can’t use it in high difficulty without all the attack speed in the zealot tree. Even then, a sizable group of anything other than pox walkers can sneak hits in on you with all the added fat to the attack pattern since the change. Before, you weren’t killing them fast, but you could manage them without taking a bunch of damage yourself.
Also, does anyone feel the reach of the TH is as if it’s being swung my someone with bardin length arms? I’ll be swinging at poxwalkers and having my hammer whiz right through their heads doing zero damage and their high-five looking animation hits me. I know there are ghost hit problems rn, but this is a separate complaint.
I agree on all fronts. This was the single worst and most poorly thought out change to the ironslag thunder hammer i can even hink of. What the absolute hel was this change? It serves no one and nothing and had to have been proposed by someone who never plays with the ironhelm or crucis.
Post hit recoil is already so minor as to be a complete non-issue at this point. While certainly more efficient in a horde IMO it kinda ruins the feel of the weapons, who should have just been onetapping more targets instead. But yes, powered overhead for cruicus.
It is really strange, because easy access to a powered heavy overhead off of push attack would be a totally welcome change for the Crucis, but on the Ironhelm just ruins its entire flow. I can’t help but feel like someone forgot which hammer was which.
Yeah, I don’t mean to imply changing the moveset of the Crucis necessarily, more that the change is something that would actually be useful to the Crucis and not a hindrance like it currently is to the Ironhelm.
Amen. I’ve got around 1500 hours across the Tide games, and no change to date has ever made me drop a weapon so hard so fast like the most recent Ironhelm swing pattern changes. Please please PLEASE get this reverted!
Why not just have the Ironhelm do light vertical overhead sticks and heavy horizontal, the Crucis can just do the opposite. Never understood why so many weapons in this game have attack patterns that don’t work with their playstyle. I feel that the VT2 weapons were better in this regard.
Any word on this anywhere? Has Fatshark acknowledged the problem in any other threads or comments? Really hoping we can get confirmation that it’s at least been seen.
