But is it possible to singleplayer these? I don’t wanna have to scrounge up a friend to play Trials. Based on past experiences with this game, I think there’s a big chance that this game mode is also going to be horribly received if solo or quickplay is not possible when it drops.

If these are to be scored and leaderboarded, separate leaderboards for different party sizes would be prudent, like how (I can’t BELIEVE I’m saying this) Weaves did its scoring.

Are we getting more penances to with this? If so, is the track getting longer too?

Also did you review the Ogryn penances to make sure they are all still achievable with the new talent changes?

Sounds like fun!

Questions:

  • Will there be explosive barrels in the arena?
  • How many unique wave compositions were made for the mode, if any? Does it follow a fixed algorithm or are the waves featured in a run completely random (but density/difficulty-wise tied to when they occur, I.e., on which wave)?
  • I’m not sure this is something you’ll be able to disclose, but will there be a secret to uncover in the challenges? Say like Hardmode Twins?

Some infinite survival version of this would probably be cool as well, or anything that can scale up the difficulty to rediculous amounts, since there seems to be a consistent discrepancy between what fatshark thinks difficult content is and what veteran players think it should be.

Ah damnit!

To elaborate: this mode seems perfect for jumping in alone to kill a few minutes without having to wait for other players or stress too much about performance. It’s be a great way to test out builds (assuming buffs could be skipped). And it’d just be fun.

Given that there seem to be no material/xp rewards for this, the need for it to be run on the server doesn’t seem to exist.

Quite a bummer! Hopefully mods will fill the gap, but that’s not a solution for everyone.

Like hell. It would be interesting to see rammifications to Sefoni literally tampering with the crew, which she has already been doing. AND has been challenged by the Captain of the vessel, so clearly the knowledge is out there.

You claim that there could be consequences, but there already aren’t, so its just a load of nonsense.

I couldn’t care less, because you’ve already butchered the characterization and story.

Well, this is going to be boring, and another one of the ‘divide the community pointlessly’ problems.

On the other hand, it might offer slightly better testing than the current Meat Grinder (the defensive aspects of weapons are often lost).

I guess I’ll see if it’s worth it.
