Installing redistributables loop

Any attempt to launch Vermintide 2 (and Darktide) fails and gets stuck on an endless attempt to install redistributables and never launches. The only working fix I’ve found is to close steam, delete the appinfo.vdf, relaunch steam. This only works once, I have to do it again every time I want to launch either game. Vermintide 2 and Darktide are the only games in my library to have this issue and it’s only started happening since the most recent patch.

Could you please provide your console log (if one is generated) and launcher log so we can take a look under the hood?

Unfortunately I can’t provide either log as it never gets beyond the installing stage, and thus never actually tries to launch anything.
