lotsa memories went into the construction container along with heaps of “crap”
not that i´d use them anymore.
neither todays tv´s got the connection necessary or look acceptable given the low resolution, nor do i need them to play old games given a wide array of emulators.
still a good chunk of my youth went into the trash.

in hindsight i´m glad about the two i didn´t buy for an exorbitant price in the 90´s: the atari jaguar (alien vs predator) and the 3do (demolition man and for exactly 2! doom like maps)
no other games were of any interest to me and the games themselves weren´t worth it as well.
yep, times were crazy back then. bought splatterhouse 3 for the mega drive(sold by the vendor under the counter) for 240 DM, roughly 120€ or rather 1:1 given inflation and finished it in one session right after getting home.
boy was i pissed about throwing that money at 3 hours gameplay.
most don´t even visit here let alone comment or vote, so i´d wager the average xbox player would be in the lower age bracket as well as microsoft-subscription-thingie (as to gain access to more games to spread their time over).
i´ll add to the wager that older folk commit more time (which due to “wasting” more on paying bills) to one game and the platform to buy is steam.
would be pretty weird to add 50+ faces to those stumbling around me weekend auric maelstrom fails in my head-canon i rather give them toddler faces.
46 years and over 1000 hours in Darktide… I’m still discovering the magic of this awesome game, I’m even planning to make a small community of Darktide fans in my country. Otherwise, I play great, I’m not a pro, but if I continue like this, I’ll definitely be For now, my best at this age are Auric Heresy and sometimes Auric Damnation . Classic Damnation is the most fun for me because it’s not too difficult and has a lot of challenges as well as rewards.
