I started playing Vermintide II a few days ago and ever since i first played it, my game crashed in every game i have played! I’m playing with no mods, have reinstalled Steam, the game (on 2 different drives), reinstalled my GPU-Drivers and am running on an uptodate Version of Windows.
I can run the game specwise with no problem, i dont have stuttering, artifacts or anything of that sort. The game starts with no issues, i can join a lobby or create one, run around in my lobby, start an online game with no problems. But at random times the game just crashes (never at the start of a game though, mostly after 4-5 Minutes+). It doesnt happen correlating with consistent actions (movement, heavy hordes, effects), the last crash was in my lobby, just walking around, other times in the middle of a hit or moving between places…
The error codes of the last 3 crashes are:

I love the game already and it would be so much fun, if only i could actually play it!!
Thanks for your help!
Thank you for the article and your suggestion. I just ran the game in DX11, testing the stability by just staying in the lobby. After a bit more than 10 minutes, this is the crash-report:
GUID: 494837fd-eb74-408c-b3b2-02ea260a757a

Some more crash reports. I was trying out reducing down to 4 threads, changing from fullscreen, to borderless to windowed (crash reports in that order i believe). All in DX11
It seems that i have solved the issue - i literally tried everything at that point… - so all good on that front. As for what did it in the end, i’m not entirely sure if only the last step i took was the one that fixed it or all the others (like reinstalling and all that fun stuff with drivers etc.) were necessary too.
The issue was a DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG and in my case it seemed to stem from having my CPU and GPU overclocked. Only turning both OCs off fixed the issue with crashing (though i mean to have noticed longer stability even with only one of them turnt off).
Anyhow. I’m looking forward to now be able to complete games and experience the full “Vermintide-Package” finally!
