Improved moves and attacks

That’s called assumption. You should be familuar with the concept judging by your first reply in this thread. Maybe I’m wrong, and you can give another reason why the heroes should be able to ‘hover for a second to snipe stuff’?
I thought it was rather plainly phrased so I risked an assumption.

Look, i’m sorry if I offended you.
But look at your replies please, you made quite a few. I think we get that you don’t like the idea of a high jump sniping ability.

Why would I be offended? Looks like you just don’t want to defend your ideas in an open discussion in a civilized manner. That’s ok - there are other people reading this who may chime in.

If you don’t like the idea then you don’t like the idea.
I’m not here to make you like my ideas.

You’re evading the question: is there a reason behind adding the hover ability except for not being able to aim at things without it?
I assumed that there wasn’t, and you bashed me for my assumtion instead of debunking the assumption itself, which is the second time you were being rude to a person you don’t know.
I’m sure you’re not here to make me like or dislike anything, but I just don’t see how is it relevan and why anyone should care why you’re here in the first place?

The whole thread was about adding more options for movement and attack.
Jumping high and sniping from high up was a new attack I wished for. Not because I can not kill stuff without it, but because it would give another option to use that I think would add more fun to the gameplay.

Just practice jumping and taking a quick shot at enemies. Once you get the hang of it you’ll feel like a real bad mofo.

That’s not inherently a good thing.

Very true. But sometimes I wish I could jump higher. Not that I could spam the ability, but every once in a while.

Why not?

Because not everything is good for the game.

Obviously this is subjective, but none of these suggestions really fit into what V2 is to me. Not that the suggestions are that outlandish, but 2/3 are in the vein of what would fit in a flashy single player power fantasy. We currently have every option we need in game, there is definitely an art to movement, kiting and engaging large groups of enemies in this game and I’d rather that wasn’t polluted with silly stuff like aerial hovers and 360 degree attacks that lessen the need for good positioning and fundamentals.

I wrote them in the order I want them. If just the kick would be added I would be absolutely thrilled. The kick and the forward dodge would blow my mind.

Fair, if I’m being completely real here I would just much rather see FS’s seemingly very limited resources go in about a hundred places before here. There are a lot of things left to polish in this game and I’d guess we’ve got fairly limited time left of “active” updating of the game. I’d rather them not spend that on aspects of the game that fundamentally work as is.

Push for what you want to see obviously, but for me and probably many others here this ain’t it.

i really don’t see how a singletarget kick with no dmg could be implemented without being useless or comicly fast.

theres a rather similar atack on the new holy greathammer, the pushatack is a punch that has low dmg and cleave (hits few targets), with decent stagger, so basicly just like the kick you suggested but better, annnd its one of the worst pushatacks in the game, because on itself its not very powerful, and also doesnt chain too well into other atacks, so the only solution to make a worse version of this punch usable would be to make it faster, and that would just look silly if you ask me…

Of course it needs to be implemented well to be useful. And it would just be an option to use, if you personally find it not useful you don’t use it.

True, but it will still require the devs. to create the codes and such, plus balancing issues and debugging if needed

Also a kick would not be a good attack in a combat scenario (great way to get your leg chopped off or a least hurt yourself with the enemy armour)

And it would need to be tied to a particular weapon (either one of the existing one or a a new kit

The devs are there to write code, so don’t worry about them doing their job. They got a pretty good job done so far…

I’m no melee/martial arts master, but I’m pretty sure a kick is a valid attack in close combat situations.

Why would it need to be tied to a particual weapon though? Why not just press a button and leg goes up and kicks the enemy in front?

I like frontkick.

Then again why would you need it? Why would I not simply just smack the rat in-front of me instead of using inferior attack? This just comes back to the topic of it being either useless or too powerful.
