Not sure if I’m losing my mind or not but does anyone else feel the hounds and trappers are a bit different since the POR update? Feels like their audio cues are not as loud or consistent and the delay between their cue and action feels perhaps slower? I often get trapped or pounced after dodging after hearing their cue.
I thought once their cue is sounded that the are committed to that direction of attack but it seems that’s not the case anymore. (I’ve noticed this whilst actually looking at trappers and hounds so I know it 100% happens now).
I’m certain I’ve seen hounds actually alter their direction mid leap too.
I’m getting immobilised way more than I used to and it’s getting kinda annoying now. Especially as hounds seem to have greatly multiplied since the update too.
If they can change direction of their attack after their sound cue then I think this shouldn’t be the case. It makes the cue somewhat redundant.
The audio timing is either short or long. I think it depends on their spawn distance. Close spawn, shorter audio cue notice, they spawn far away, more audio cue notice.
The dogs have area of catch, so if they’re slightly to the right of left, still counts as a catch. There is wall collision where they bounce off like wall jumping.
Same with trappers. Seems easier to dodge up close but mid range because their net is cone of effect you could literally behind a doorway and it will still catch phasing through the wall without direct line.
Yea few weird things in this game, gives the game a bit of humour when glitches happen - My favourite is when you use Eviscerator on a mutant you’re stuck in cleave animation in same spot, whilst the mutant continues it’s merry journey elsewhere and dies of heart attack 20-30m away once your cleave animation finishes.
