If FS did another major rework, what would you like it to be?

Let us play as careers that arent just a bunch of nobody losers, Darktide, a game where you play as a less than useless peon has us fighting space marine level threats, meanwhile Space Marine 2 a game were you play as the most giga dudes in the galaxy you feel like paper.

I think Astartes is the wrong route but inquisitorial henchemen would of been way better, and if they dont want to go that rotue, then at least give us cosmetics that let us play pretend.

There is 0 legitimate reason I can dress up like a commisar but not a battle sister if we are just playing prisoner make believe anyway.

Also FS wants to make horrible design choices for profit, but also thinks its bad design choice to give the fans cosmetics that would make them profit. Weird hill to die on.

Can you imagine how many sales a Vet Vindicare skin would get (for example) instead we get “cucked coal miner color variant #6

That would probably go against lore, and thus, GW would say no.

For Sister, it’s mainly that the cosmetic are aren’t genderlocked, so u less we get a new arche that is missing a male counterpart, I don’t think we would see such (I do want Sister arch)

Psyker had 20 talent nodes (The blue ones), Ogryn had 30, Zealot 37 and veteran 46.

So, it wasn’t that the tree was bad per-say, just that it was missing options. The original tree might have been fine for ye but Psyker was my least played precisely because I couldn’t tinker with builds. You’d always have so many points left over there was no room for hard decisions past what blitz and CA to take.

But with that finished, I think the big man should be next up for sure. Outside of issues with CDR and that bag of nonsense Vet and Psyker are in a pretty good condition.

Clearly, rock too strong. Pinnacle of Ogryn engineering. Flew too close to the sun with that one, Emprah had to come down and nerf Ogryns himself.

Jokes aside, Gunlugger is such a weird tree. I don’t fancy CAs that require ammo to function (This and Executioner stance, little bit of Scriers Gaze) and so much of the tree seems to me to be trying to patch up the weakness’ you get focusing on ranged instead of upping the strengths (A bit more ammo (though never enough), an oddly excessive focus on reloading, crit chance of all things, limited DR and Toughness regen). Very few “Fun” blue nodes outside of increased blast radius, and that one movement speed node that seems intended for meme builds. And that keystone, yikes. Although frankly all the Ogryn keystones are a bit… yikey? Yikeish? Yikeful. Hel, the icon for Heavy Hitter doesn’t even show up half the time.

I know some folks jive with it, but I’m not feeling the love for glugger. Only thing it makes me want to glug is a bottle of Malort. Oggies deserve better.

Heu… not my experience.

My own experience is more, 2 keystones are bad compared to first one. Except this, the entire tree is great. There are talents more useful than others but it depends of the weapons you pick. And on this, the psyker talent tree is amazing cause you have to adapt the talents you choose to the weapon you pick.
I must say that, in my opinion, there is no need to rework talent trees. There are however several talents that needs buffs (one motion is actually just a tax node), changes (crunch!, martyr’s purpose) or nerfs (VoC - golden toughness mechanic, Invocation of death, duellist, precision strikes)…
However, if there is one thing I would change it is unused keystones. On veteran, I see plenty of players that do not pick any keystones. I see also, less but still existing, psykers without keystones. However, I have never seen a zealot or an ogryn without any keystone picked.
On Ogryn, feels no pain seems so bad compared to others. On psyker, the left (warp siphon) is great, the middle (empowered psionics) is good to play with only blitz (I would advice this for difficulty levels under heresy) and the right (disrupt destiny) is just bad. The middle keystone can be somewhat useful… for penances. On veteran, simple. All keystones are just bad.

EDIT: precision. I feel the disrupt destiny bad not for the effects, but for the rabbit hunt that just feel wrong. I can’t like such keystone.

Heu… not my experience.

For clarification, I am referring to the old psyker tree. I like the new one much more. Just so we’re on the same page here.

(The new Psyker tree, if I’m counting correctly, has 32 talent nodes now. Finally has meat on its bones)

The rabbit hunt feels more like a Vet thing. Someone with many more tools to deal with combatants at range and feel like a bounty hunter while you’re at it.

For me, it’d be mission select. While the randomized missions with their modifiers can still exist, I rather be able to pick particular maps for particular purposes on demand. Like, skull hunting or “x map being the best for completing penance y”.

depends, if GW cares then womp womp, but otherwise who gives a f

You literally have skins to look like Lore Charachters in VT2, like… homie, I can go be the Everqueen right now.

Be careful what you wish for, remember the catachan cosmetics? The character models in this game are just terrible, a lot of stuff just doesn’t work.

i’ll take “sucks but you tried” over not trying anyday

Them trying is debatable, the cosmetics are outsourced and of a consistently bad quality.
Check out this Cadian from Space Marine 2, compared to the Adia Special in Darktide:

Side by side, it looks a bit like left is the father and right is his 13 year old son who wears his fathers armor.

Here’s another instance of the darktide models being trash just cause it’s funny to compare to depictions with actual good proportions.

Bobblehead looking mf.
(notice the reused recolored pipboy from the cadian set also)

I’m not saying it’s high priority at all, but if they were to at some point rework character models and cosmetics it would be pretty cool.

Tbh, I disagree with your points of view…
I preferred the darktide model better than the space marines 2 one.
And the picture you just provided doesn’t show me a fatshark failure. In fact, I feel that the model is greatly reproduced.

What I don’t like however, are these bodies that are all the same. Women, men, are all athletics (and without boobs).

You really don’t see how it actually looks like a bobblehead figurine? Even the cadian set does. The proportions in Darktide are completely off

They absolutely can make them look proper which is why I get annoyed when they don’t. The Steel Legion set was absolute perfection, didn’t mind the Rogue Traders either though I wish they made them more colorful (I gotta peacock). Very few hits for dozens of misses. We don’t talk about the Krieg set.

They do have big helmets, the problem is more that they have an armored ‘shell’ that is in no way conveyed in DT. Just looks like lazy armor plates slapped about.

the problem you have is that the GW models are overly muscled dudes and in darktide all the humans are kinda twiggy. this seems to be the underlying problem people have with the cosmetics, that darktide does not let you play a brawny superman because it would screw with their cosmetics system.

also they better not give us those awful drum shotguns when the scab gunners have a way better looking one in the game already. i will complain about it weekly if they do.
