Yeah I feel you. I’ve been away for some time too and my ability to freely navigate the environment and do damage is gone. I think I’m doing the same things but it feels wrong and does not match my expectations. It’s just a skill issue on my part, need more practice.
that’s indeed my impression. every time i switch to psyker, or vet to some degree, i must remember to play very differently. careful, fragile. arby with castigator especially is switch on, go bonk. it’s so good it makes even his other abilities (nuncio and break the line) less useful, even if they’re actually strong. we played a few games today, with me as ogryn, zealot and arby, and arbitrator was ridiculous, near 0 damage (except for one net through 5 crushers, the only thing that can rain on your parade). if i tried playing like that as psyker, i’d be a pancake in no time.
i usually play melee psyker and the difference going to Arbitrator is just absurd. Arbitrator you can go afk on an auric game by just turning on Castigators Stance; i play arby if I know I will need to answer/read my phone as I can turn on CS, mess with phone, and go back to the game without dying or impacting my team in any way. It’s training people to be bad at the game.
this. i prefer melee / gun psyker with scrier’s gaze. and i guessed in some other recent thread that the current “only buff, don’t nerf” crowd is players who would have been ok in malice, maybe heresy one year ago and now can get away with facetanking and spamming lights in auric.
