Infiltrate as an idea will always be more of a casual/fun thing to have rather than something with actual utility
The main issues being vet no longer having the insane CDR he had before, and that this just allows the vet to reposition/revive/do an objective, basically everything that Shroudfield already does, but without the ability to deal mega melee dmg
Sure, we shouldn’t compare abilities from different classes, but even when comparing it among themselves Infiltrate is just something that will never work
Exec Stance while it could get a buff, the simple idea of “highlight enemies, deal more damage to them, and (insert whatever buff you want it to give)” is something that could work on all levels of play, and let’s not talk about shout because it’s shout
But Infiltrate? It’ll never be as good as shroudfield or as the other abilities no matter what you give it, and unlike shroudfield, Infiltrate is boring
I think it’s really time to remove Infiltrate, and add something that could take it’s place that is AT THE VERY LEAST, more fun than Infiltrate, and ideally something that could compete with the other two abilities
Since the release of Hive Scum, there was always on this mind of mine that I thought it was gonna be added on them, but didn’t… That’s VT2 Bounty Hunter’s Lock and Loaded (The ult where you hold a special pistol, and release the ability key to fire a super damaging blast)
I think this ability could work wonders for veteran, especially on the right side that promotes more hybrid gameplay, having a massive (and skillful) pocket damage shot as an ability could be exciting to use and really great to have, as a good source of boss dmg+stagger and also getting rid of key elites/specials (like pink crushers for example)
Subnodes could be related to so many things that could help vets in general
- Normal ammo regen (Weakspot kills against elite enemies with Locked and Loaded replenish 35% of your ammo)
- CDR to itself (Killing a special with Locked and Loaded reduces the cooldown of itself by 1%, up to 30% on 30 special kills)
- Buffs to your ranged arsenal (Upon firing Locked and Loaded, win 100% ranged crits for 8s)
And so more other ideas that could help well, but the main point is that this could be really cool IMO and everyone who played Bounty Hunter in VT2 and hit a fat headshot with the ult can relate to the feeling
IDK what the initial cooldown would be (60s doesn’t sound bad at all) but yeah, I think it can be great!
