I suddenly realised

We still have no steam trading card
Yeah-yeah-yeah I know we got a bigger problems. Just feels a bit off

Legitimate question:

How much do people actually care about steam trading cards? I know I don’t care about them at all. Didn’t even realize that DT didn’t have them.

Maybe it’s because even when I played on Steam at least once daily for awhile I only ever got 1 card drop. But personally I don’t see the appeal.

I do agree it is kind of strange we didn’t get some basic enemy or weapon renders as trading cards like most other games do, however.

Yeah, even VT2 had them.

My guess is they normally coordinate that sort of thing around launch and they had bigger problems at the time, having just scrapped several core systems.

I care about steam trading cards!..

So I can sell every single one of them to those suckers heh heh

(Honestly made $30 on steam cards)

Have you ever got steam trading card “drops,” before though? Where you can get more cards for a game you’ve played or whatever?

I should probably go through all my cards and list them, although I wonder if the time it would take to set them up so people actually buy them would be more than minimum wage lol.

Well, to be honest it’s not about cards. It’s about what comes with cards: emotes, profile backgrounds etc. I need a rock emote in my life :brick:

There’s a way to bulk sell everything. Its a bit annoying but you can list all items to sell at the recommended price by default, change it if you want then put it all out there.

I don’t know? I have gotten cards, never a full set (probably the intention) very rarely did I get rare versions (checks out). But some of those got me like $3-$5 alone. Which is crazy.

I bought a valve index and have more steam points than I know what to do with.

Damn it you nearly had me fooled as this post was first thing I saw in this thread! I thought you discovered a way to bulk sell weapons in Darktide.

I don’t think there’s a way to sell weapons based on their stats, but there is a mod to mark items and then sell all the items you have marked.

I’m on my phone rn but if you want me to try and find it let me know.

At least last time I checked, which to be fair was probably 6-8 years ago, it is literally impossible to get a full set of cards for a game unless you get a “drop.” The only way I remember to get a drop was to play a game on steam every day. I don’t know if that system is still in play or if I am even remembering it correctly. But I do know its still impossible to get a full set of cards for a game base.

Guess I’ll keep an eye on this mod until they update it

Glad you were able to find it. Hopefully it will be fixed fast.

I’m sure the itemisation update will fix all of the item page QoL issues.

I didn’t until AC 6 came along. I bought all of the cards (as when you collect an entire set you get a profile badge and then start a new set for another badge. It’s basically franchise flair for your page that shows what you’re really into (for me at least.) Darktide is my favorited game on my page, but I have an AC 6 badge on display to show my support for the product.

I did do this as well for Ruiner, however I know before they added it it was the only way to get profile backgrounds and emotes.

Now that we have the points shop? I believe they quite literally only exist for profile badges, and after getting 1 for a game I like I don’t really care about them in the slightest anymore…

Total War Warhammer 3 is my 3rd most played game on Steam. Total War Warhammer 2 is my first. I have over 1.6k hours total put into those games and have not gotten a booster for either.

I don’t know how the system works, but if some poor soul actually cares about getting a badge it seems pretty abysmal, especially if you want a higher rarity one.

Steam still do trading cards? I kinda forget they exist most of the time.

It was my understanding that early access games aren’t permitted to have trading cards.

Wait, DT isn’t an EA game?

Its up to the dev if they want trading cards. Many games dont have them until later. I guess they dont want to spend the time working on them.

I neither remember when they were introduced nor how they work or what the idea is and I do not care.
