I love darktide, but not the systems they've implemented

I’ve been hanging around for a few days. I’m one of the people that desperately wants to defend you fatshark…but I can’t.

The pre-order beta was awesome, It really filled me with hope for the game. Then the crafting system was slated to be only partially functional at launch, the premium skin shop was in and functioning flawlessly on day one with premium currency that’s not earnable in game and uses denominations that are always either just shy or just over the amounts you need. The lack of meaningful cosmetics outside the store stung, and already my friends are dropping the game because they can’t get the loot they want, they can’t play the maps and difficulties they want, they can’t look cool because the only good stuff is in the cash shop they refuse to engage with…it’s all falling apart fatshark, and two weeks in my friends are sitting around not knowing what to play, but none of them have darktide installed anymore.

I wanna defend you, but I can’t. I’ve no one left to play with, and I desperately hope you turn things around enough to get them to give you a second chance.

I tend to agree, why didn’t they just port over vermintide’s systems that worked very well.

Crafting in vt2 was rng, but you could change anything you want on your weapon/curio

Picking the map and secondary objectives you want to do was just better.

The cosmetic shop is not the biggest concern for me, but I can’t imagine it would be hard to show a preview of what it looks like on your character and allow you to turn the character around to see it from different angles. If you could see a full preview of the cosmetic, it would be your own fault if it disappointed you.

Money. In fact I’m willing to bet without owner Tencent being so hard up for cash they pushed this out the door, it’d still be doing laps in developement hell as they couldn’t come up with a 40k Ubersreik 5 so we got the cop out of create a character even with the Ogryn who really does not fit with the rest of the game, and the story is so very bare bones.
