This never happens. Ten minutes of surviving in the same area in Chasm Terminous. Conditions: Waves of Enemies, Nurgles Gift. I don’t know why this caused so much problems. THe spawning never stopped. Ever. There was no lull, and there was no hitting the guys in the back except for few occassions.
Disclaimer: Sorry the camera shakes a lot, I had adrenaline going and it also didn’t looke like my camera was shaking as much when I played it. I never realized I did.
I think you should go back to base heresy/damnation to work on decision making and either get you more accustomed to your current loadout or find a loadout that better suits you.
One thing I will say is that you’re not looking for teammates, in general , unless they’re down and at around 5-6 mins, you could have been with that Psyker helping, but you actually run off. If you both would have stayed together you could have gone out and ressed everyone.
You basically need your good awareness you have for your own survival to work for teammates too, during difficulty spikes. E.g. You’re using the Ult to save yourself, but if you used it for others, they could just shoot all of the Specials.
Some games tend to be like that, a constant barrage and clusterf*ck of blood, guts, bullets, and hellfire raining down from everywhere. Then we got into games that are a cakewalk in comparison. Spawns need to be brought in line to be on a more consistent basis. I made a post a while ago showing two sceenshots from two different maelstroms. One only took 21 minutes and we had barely any special/elite kills - another malestrom took 31 minutes and we had almost double the elites/specials.
I was on Discord with the other zealot. The other two slots were PUGS. Normally, I play psyker. The goal we were trying to do was get Auric Survivor without disconnecting (I will NOT earn it through d/cing before death. And I’ve been pugging the penance since it started.) Normally, I do Psyker and we decided to both go zealot for survivability.

The screenshake is my hand. I cannot disable hand
Thanks! <3
The times when I used the ult for myself is because I needed time to look around and get an idea of what was going on. Size up the situation…
That’s because I didn’t keep track of where he was, my assumption he was going to run away from that area as there was no reason to stay. I turned around to look to verify (probably at the sound of his down) and reacted accordingly.
Making no progress on objective such as we were starts to wear on your mind and you start getting mental fatigue. I will say that hindsight is always 20/20, and noticed my mistakes after clipping the video before submitting.
I wasn’t expecting the advice to go back to heresy, but I’m not surprised by it.
Player dmg has been overcrept to high heavens, if you just know how to stay alive, you can just keep pushing into anything, outpacing the spawns.
Such density only occurs when the team becomes stationary.
P.S.: Right, I actually watched the video after spewing out general knowledge. That area be like that sometimes, fun times! If you don’t progress the hack quick enough, the enemy build up can get nutty.
P.S.S.: Holy crap, what is your mouse sens lol. I couldn’t even shake my cam that quick if I wanted to.
It looked to me like the video was speeded up which probably exacerbated it. But I did think while watching it that maybe your mouse sensitivity is too high? It’s taken me 10 years and an ever larger mousemat to retune myself to play with a lower dpi sensitivity!
Also. Could’ve gotten the bot and the other guy up right at the start with a grenade. Save all that hassle
Probably. What’s the timestamp, I might be able to remember what I was thinking at the time as this was taken last night.
It wasn’t.
My mousemat space is limited. My mousemat space is literally the space from my fingers spread out from my pinky to my thumb, the base of my palm to my middle fingertip.
Higher skill ceiling on Marty IMHO. Find a fire barrel early , get 3-4 stacks and you’re good to go. Being at full HP is counter-productive as it makes you weaker, the missing dmg and speed is quite noticeable (and bit more DR). Save a green stimm for after you pop your Until Death resist and profit.
P.S. Pinging stuff, especially in fog gas is invaluable even if on discord.
You’re right, I’m probably going to disable my double tap tagging (I have it at skull) will change to the EYE so I can indicate I’m looking in that direction. I do the tagging sometimes through the fog… My mind was preoccupied a lot during this fight.
Damn, wish I could play games that intense. Legitimately impressive. I’ve never run a lasgun on Zealot before - how well does it work? I usually run an anti-armor weapon on my Eviscerator builds.
You were the MVP here, the other players should have been able to stabilize and revive each other, but they didn’t, resulting in a wipe. Someone else should have also run ahead (maybe as a sacrificial lamb) to slam down the next interrogator before regrouping.
I use the lasgun for the really far, soft targets like scab bombers, gunners, flamers, snipers, etc. I couldn’t use it at all because of the constant pressure I was under. And for the build I had for it, the gun is pretty decent. Considering it’s dmg per shot. Here’s the gun:
I recognize the WSD is not good, but I wass going for great blessings here, not the perks. The perks were inconsequential for what I was seeking to accomplish with it. In this fight in particular, I was wishing I had my columnus instead. Or a fast reload revolver (Sometimes, that weapon is basically just a lasgun when it comes to damage with less ammo and slightly less accurate in my experience)
Honestly weakspot damage perk is whatever, 2% is not gonna make or break much. I usually use throwing knives for the purpose of sniping specials - fun fact, an unrevved heavy attack from an eviscerator can oneshot a mutant if you hit the head, and in case it doesn’t, you can throw a knife to kill them anyways. (done with mk2, not sure how it fares with mk15 - probably the same)
I honestly find the top middle tree to be middling (lol) and so I usually lock myself into top right. Firebombs are great but crit is 4eva.
Don’t take this the wrong way, and I don’t necessarily mean you, but a scary amount ok 1K + players are …not great.
It just mean they play a lot. You’d think some of them would have picked up a few tricks…but apparently not.
That being said, it’s usually an indicator of skill.
Strong disagree, martyrdom is very powerful with the right talents. Pros outweigh the “cons” by a massive margin IMO.
I would only recommend doing that if you’re in a situation where you can anticipate that you won’t be able to maintain toughness or when you expect to take damage. Holy Revenant, Restoring Faith and Bleed for the Emperor will keep you alive throughout the cooldown period as long as you can maintain toughness in most situations.
