Obvious fix is to just give everyone better flashlights so you don’t have to rely on someone bringing weapon X that has one. Personally i would like them to experiment bit more like certain areas having some power left, flares, nvgs or other gadgets to make it bit more interesting.

Tbh I’d love it if they took a page from GTFO here: Lights out missions could have torches lying around, taking up a stim or a deployable slot and shining a huge light whenever equipped.

I love the give and take when it comes to choosing. Even as Psyker I don’t like using my staves for lights out. I like picking up weapons with flashlights. And it fulfills the terror fantasy in the intro movie that I like so much.
