Hotfix #80 - 1.9.5 - Patch Notes

Hey Everyone,

Hotfix #80 (1.9.5) is currently rolling out across our platforms. This hotfix contains the following fix:

  • Fixed an issue where changes to the cosmetic skin on the Cyber-Mastiff failed to apply when exiting the Inventory menu.

This will most likely be our last hotfix until the next major update.

ok :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: maybe we can at least have some dog skins if its handler takes time.

Damn, still no instant use for Ogryn Paul special attack (like Arbites Paul) I’ll keep fingers crossed for next time :crossed_fingers:

We can keep our fingers crossed for MANY things that Fat Shark keeps the blind eye

Quite the chubby patch for such a small fix…

By the way, there are no new premium cosmetics for this class.

they upload the whole package even if only a small part was changed.

Why are the most basic cosmetic fixes so important to Fatshark when there are major parts of the gameplay that have not functioned correctly since the game came out, and in some cases have been made much worse?

If graphical problems are that important, why not fix the invisible demon host problem? Twitch

How about fixing all the reload animations that either don’t play (Autoguns) or get stuck in a loop (Flamer/Bolter)?

How about fixing the INVISIBLE dogs that are now worse than they used to be. Being in a large empty room and having the sound queues scamper around you and then suddenly a dog appears out of nowhere when you look away and look back.

I KNOW you aren’t gonna fix the broken Ability triggers that we’ve been complaining about since the damn BETA;

So nevermind the game losing players every day because it’s functionally TRASH so long as it LOOKS GOOD, right?

The sweatshop they outsource cosmetics to is not involved in fixing daemonhosts.

Shouldn’t this be #81?

A bit off topic, but what do the numbers mean? The game version? The second number increased after each content expansion, the third for hotfixes. But now it seems there’s only room for five small patches left, because the counter is approaching 2.0, which would seem to be a global level-up for the game  . Or does this mean nothing in such terms?

Maybe they should put their cosmetic sweatshop funds towards a gameplay sweatshop. Stop makking excuses for them.

Greatest hotfix of all time

And that is somehow 3.6 gb?

I assume the version number is major expansion/milestone.big patch number.hotfix number, so this one is Base game, patch #9, Hotfix #5. It doesn’t actually need to follow any counting convention, the next big patch would be 1.10.0.

Hotfixes are usually used to add the next cosmetic rotation. But also how they package the file, they just redownload the full file if they don’t have delta patching baked in or have the structure to support individual file changes within the pack file.

Basically, the answer is simple: you have a modified version of the client, that’s where the problems are coming from. We know it doesn’t affect anything, but the main thing is not to tell sharks)

I used to only play without mods so I could give bug reports, now I know the bug reports are just ignored I stopped bothering and made the game more consistent and reliable by adding mods.

I play without mods constantly, mostly to prove that the mods are not the cause to the people who come to my stream and say the exact same nonsense about mods causing the issues.

I’ve not run any mods at all for over a week now and the problems have not magically gone away.

The majority of the mods I use are to FIX or alleviate the problems with the game and the complete lack of accessability options. I only started using mods BECAUSE of the state of the game.

ClownFish claiming mods are the cause is them trying to shirk responsibility. They can shift the onus to the player instead of fixing their game. Looks better for them than ignoring the bug reports for YEARS.

Executor’s scaling took 33 months to fix. The company is a joke.
