Hotfix #71 (1.8.3) - Patch Notes

Where is it…ah here, specifically for such moments:

We had this argument multiple times on this forum, and that opinion has been proven wrong so many times, it isn’t even funny anymore.

If you want a game without a difficulty curve, please Helldivers is that way.

I mean, it’s still pretty busted even without the puncture abuse.

Busted requiring a talent node (or two with brittleness) and benefitting from enemy density (like lots of talents these days) vs an unintended weapon blessing interaction is a bit different, in my eyes.

Oh yeah, and needing to command the dog or be in the horde for it to pounce the problem crowd.

Does less damage than intended as it can’t benefit from buffs and the kills not counting means it can’t trigger some buffs.

Probably also applies more stacks than intended in a lot of cases though.

Lol, so is it busted OP or busted broken, not doing enough damage. I’ll just wait for @gpkgpk to tell me at this point.

I tested it with Bloodlust node on Castigator’s Stance and Unleashed Brutality, the bleed dots certainly go up so I’m not sure why you’re saying that.

Looks like they stealth-fixed it in this hotfix actually, I’m getting kill credit from the bleed now in the psykanium at least.

So wait, does people think it’s a good idea that bleed dots should be affected by buffs when it wasn’t before? the infinite cleave one at that? lol

Let’s hope that summer break hasn’t started in full swing yet. Or it’s going to be a looong, irritating summer.

Sometimes nerfs are needed but in a pve game like this the devs need to gently tap it into the goal rather than overshoot.

Yup, looks like it’s not documented. Dog’s bleed kills give buffs now and show on kill feed.

I’d say it’s the infinite cleave part that’s unethical as you showed in the clip. Was annoying having a weak bleed stuck on a boss if the dog got the first hit. I’d rather it just be single target tbh maybe with an increased stack count.

I’ll quote an earlier Post of mine to save us both some time. Here you go:

Yeah seeing it in the Lua too:

buff_extension:add_internally_controlled_buff_with_stacks("bleed", stacks, t, "owner_unit", template_data.companion_unit)

Looks like it’s broken in another way now, did they attribute the bleed to the dog instead of the player?

I’m currently at 2600, but cool.

Really unnecessary.

Yeah, after playing with full doggo build for while I can pretty much say it’s broken as heck.
It’s probably worse than the puncture abuse since there’s no cooldown to it outside of Castigator buff and you don’t even have to do the weapon swap gimmick.

yep…

All these number nerfs were unnecessary. Who was crying about this? And how was it enough crying they addressed it so quickly?
