Maybe, but they only announced the VT2 anniversary event + Versus Open Alpha with 3 days of lead time. They seem to be just running in small & quiet mode for whatever reason.
It’d be nice if they would restart the biweekly streams they had going back in 2022. They could pick questions they want to answer from the question thread (they had one each on Reddit and the Steam forums back then) and then just chat about the current state of the game while playing a few rounds. It’d be real laid back and informal, wouldn’t have to spoil anything upcoming, but would still be something. Now that the CM teams are split, they could even alternate and each set would only have to host one a month.
I made a post requesting they restart them but, of course, it went unanswered and probably unnoticed.
I think you’re referring to the plasteel/dimantine looted by players during a run, and the answer would be “the solo player gets the plasteel/dimantine they find”, if you’re worried about solo players racking up way more than a co-op player, then you don’t have to worry about me farming for my plasteel in solo and then crafting my super uber weapons and ruining your online experience, because I want solo so I don’t have to play online with randoms. But if Fatshark actually was worried about the “economy of plasteel”, then give solo mode half or a quarter of the drop rates of online, I don’t really care, personally, because I want to play the game for my own enjoyment like I play VT2 Solo for my own enjoyment, not to grind the best gear and then go online.
Forgive me for going into semantics but sometimes I enjoy being as annoying as possible.
Technically we don’t really “know” anything. Other than “big stuff is coming soon.” etc. As far as unused assets, that is no guarantee of anything. It could just as well be abandoned scrap code of projects that were tried and not deemed worthy of seeing the light of day. So really nothing is certain.
Personally, and I think logically, I believe that there is other stuff planned and DT isn’t being abandoned and all the other things people are saying. But like I said sometimes it’s fun being annoying and argumentative.
I mean I have some evidence. The few lines of code I have screenshotted they probably don’t want posted here. And the backend available content can be seen with a very certain mod.
It all points very conclusively to a number of content updates, some event related some not. If they don’t want to talk about it now, putting it out there would do them a disservice, though.
Well if we’re going to play that card, then allow me to respond with a 40k reference, from old loyalist Ahriman in this case. To paraphrase: we don’t KNOW what will happen if we fall off a bridge, but we can make a pretty good guess.
I mean, I do take your point, but since pedantic semantics are so much fun, the more the merrier right?
Made an account just to address the outrageous state of a whole dev team fighting against a single bug. and losing…
Closing in on 2000 hours and since shooter knockback was introduced my playing has been miserable, three patches/hotfixes/hopes and prayers later it still is very much there and ruining experiences, not to speak of the abominably poor server performance giving me more hitreg on headshots than anyone sane would bear.
So yeah, three attempts and some months later, a minor game ruining bug is still in the game, and with no intention of leaving.
Bless the base game for being so good because no community would allow its developers to whip them like this.
I’m half-convinced that, rather than having an actually functional versioning process, they just hand each separate team the entire game’s code and let them have at it - because they constantly roll back and have old bugs pop up.
There’s something horribly wrong with how Fatshark develops games, but after nearly a decade of Tide games the fact it hasn’t been fixed means something quite bad.
it means that the different task groups in their studio keep working on their problems as they get them. people fix a problem using a build 2-3 fixes ago, send it to get added to the queue, forget to check which build is actually live and then they set everything back for a couple days. it doesn’t look good, but there’s worse ways to program.
like having a guy whose job is to shut everyone’s workflow down every other week to update them to the current build
I believe a bit of that was due to them mistakenly fixing bugs on an older version of the game than what was the most recent version at the time, so when they then rolled out the newest bug fixes they re-introduced some of the old bug fixes that had already been fixed.
thx for the fast fix, that good change until the next content update (time to tease it ! )
one fix i think deserve to be fix before the next content update is the deimos force sword heavy attack 2 who stagger level 3 on crusher since patch 13 (which was not documented in any patch note) and is bugged (the target is always push/throw on the right side)
and in case you wan’t to change the crafting keep the lock it make the looting experience better in my opinion, up the minimum base modifier of weapon sell/drop at lvl 30 (ex:from 300 at 320 in the shop) and make rule so weapon base modifier can’t go under 50% on weapon 300+ and if you change a blessing on a weapon and go back to it again make it cost 0 (ex:rampage to savage sweep cost money and getting back to rampage is free since we already pay for it)
