Hordes drops GPU utilization, leading to Extremely Low FPS

This issue has persisted for a long time.
Whether adjusting Video Presets step-by-step from “Very Low” to “Ultra,” or tweaking individual video settings,
when enemy hordes attack, GPU utilization always drops, causing FPS to be halved (by up to 70%).
During moments without enemies, GPU utilization returns to normal levels, and FPS does as well.
I’d like to ask the professionals in the community sincerely:

What is the cause of this issue?

Are there any viable solutions currently available?

CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i7-14700HX @2.30GHZ

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU

RAM: 16G x 2, DDR5 5600MHZ

the game is very CPU dependent and depending on what CPU you have, in horde situations (with more enemy units on the field) it is bottlenecking your system essentially

I would list your computer specs if you are serious about trying to improve performance as then someone might know how to help you better seeing this

However, I noticed that during enemy hordes, the CPU Usage and Power Consumption remain largely consistent with normal levels, fluctuating within a certain range without a significant increase.

Does this imply that the enemy hordes in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 place extremely high demands on the Single-Core Performance of the CPU?
