Yet another post about horde spawns, just reporting 4 instances.

A horde spawning right next to us fighting rats

A horde spawning in clear sight behind a wave of (dead) enemies

A small group of slaverats spawning next to me during a horde (or ambush).

At least it was not the permanent horde bug, those are “fun”

The solution is to block all the time while advancing through the level. However, while this will protect you from the hordes spawning around you, it will also trigger the “you are too slow” horde.
