I don’t play havoc…
I feel it uninteresting. I don’t like the way they wanted to create a difficulty. I don’t say that the modifiers are a bad idea, at contrary. But what I don’t like is that they took Auric to make it worse and added unfair modifiers.
Never could accept the penalty on ammunitions.
But in Auric / Maelstrom, you don’t need such perk. Ok, we actually die too much. But, we test and play at 4 of the same class. Let’s say this is sub optimal as my cop says.
It won’t last, as we will learn to play it. And from what I see, I expect players begging nerfs soon enough.
Tbh, I cannot imagine to return havoc with a scum… this class is really weak for havoc, and… I am clearly not trained to this mode at all. How could I? I don’t see any interest in it, and I am bored 80% of the map… especially when I see colored enemies everywhere like a rainbow (havoc enemies buffs is just a color fiesta)…
Then you don’t need res speed of course… But in Havoc it’s a must. So, it’s totally fine without it at those levels for sure. Nothing wrong with that then.
Yes, the class isn’t great for Havoc’s after some testing, which I agree ultimately & that’s not to p*ss anybody off, it’s just a fact, I’d rather play other classes that contribute more so. Unless they massively buff him perhaps? But yeah, he’s stronger under Havoc’s, no doubt.
Had similar pain for my space cop. Think I’m in for over 250k milk money at this point with only 3 420/17/21s to show. All my others came from the Brunt luck.
I’ll have you know, though, that I got my first 430 curio emperors gift last night in over 1k hours. It was a +1 wound…
3x Revive is great. It’s my go to for every build. Someone always go down.
The fact that not only revive it applies to ledge pulling, rescue speed. Also untrapping from net is pretty instant.
Sure 5 to 3 secs doesn’t seem like much, but each sec counts for sure.
3 secs even allows stagger and revive before flak ragers/crushers can recover and overhead even, so don’t even to knock down enemies completely. That incoming mutie from even mid distance - You’d be able to revive whilst it is charging before it makes contact then last sec dodge.
How many times have you seen someone “Mutie coming I think I can revive just in time” only to be grabbed, because it was of 1 sec judgement.
its supposed to be a glass cannon, but its competing with psychers basically. Why do psychers have more survivability AND more dps? does psycher need nerfed or does hive scum need buff?
They are I don’t know why some people claim they aren’t I have tested all combintions of gunner resistance from 0 to 3 and there is noticable difference, I run 3 on every build on every class.
i think because so many people are taking desperado, and/or vulture’s dodge. which at that point if you have both, you really shouldnt be taking gunner resist imo.
Yeah, ganger now doesn’t have the ttk’s which it would need to be a good glass cannon, they did try to buff the survivability when they nerfed the dmg of the class to compensate but that’s obviously not how that works, so we get the current iteration.
I wouldn’t know I only played havoc before I stopped playing due to the zealot “rework” and ganger kinda falling flat.
For the middle keystone take the subnode on the right that gives more stacks per elite and special kill or whatever it makes it functional, albeit nowhere near fun.
Yeah, they cut the damage values in half and increased all the negatives by 50% and took ten seconds out of the base ability, it’s pretty cheeks now, I would run med-kit and tox nades, which is meta. at least until they nerf it.

Yeah, that is very much definitely a thing too.
Take the needle gun and shoot bosses in the weak spot, the dot is really strong if you hit the weakspot.
The ammo regen aura needs to player with the gun that has the highest ammo capacity to pick up the ammo drops to get best value out of it. But I would enjoy it now, I’d bet it will get nerfed up very soon.
All in all it’s a pretty based take. Additionally, and perhaps much more importantly, I recommend totally ignoring all the people that blather about “skill issue”, competent players never say garbage like that, instead we can just tell what level of skill people are at based on their opinions about the game. The “It’s a skill issue” crowd are just self reporting their skill level is all that is, the way is to record your gameplay, figure out why you died and don’t die that way again, cheers.
The reason many players don’t consider gunner resist to be essential is that currently gunner resist curio perks only mitigate damage from only the small little gunner guys, which means you are spending a curio perk on mitigating ranged damage from only one of several types of ranged enemies. Thus, the question of if the gunner resist is useful is something only recording your gameplay and watching it back to see what you are taking damage from can answer, if the thing that keeps dropping you is ranged damage specifically from only the small little shooters, then yes you should stack on the gunner resist, if not, there is probably better options.
Additionally, on the ganger specifically, +3 stamina curios which are at least 420 rating or higher can give you survivability through mobility, increase blocking bandwidth, and survivability through offense (in the form of the attack speed node), which means that stamina regen is a really good option (since the attack speed buff is based on how many unspent stamina bars you currently have).
This isn’t true in my tests. I was playing desperado double barrel and spammed the 3 shot so much i got a headache. My damage score was almost as good as with uzis.
Seriously, to all that think the class is really weak, you just need to practice…
I know that a lot here will try to watch videos and will miss, as usually, the fun to discover the class.
Usually, by following others metas, you should miss little of the gameplay of a class.
But with this class, you will miss THE FUN, the entire fun.
Already tested several things. The Scums have also survivability nodes. But, you require to kill fast…
Practice the class, if you like the style. This is not the cop.
Cops are slow, defensive, tanker. Here we have the contrary.
for point 6, if you ever take needle gun you gotta make sure taking improved gunslinger would be worth if your team has full autos it could still be worth it, but if not? you prob. would want to take crit chance aura.
I still haven’t played enough to know if man stopper+ flachette is better than both barrels + scattershot. Or a combination of those.
So far I’ve only played it with 3 mag size and both barrels and it was constant spamming of 1 shot > double shot > fast reload> repeat. With ult you get 6 shots without reload.
If you play crit depending blessings, you need +5% perk and all crit from the tree you can get. Including aura.
Run n Gun and Deathspitter feels fantastic. easy to keep up stacks and works great with the increased mobility during Desperado. now if only FS would let you hipfire both barrels, it would feel perfect
