I blame the sweats for this, if the class was good on launch there would be a myriad MUH POWER CREEP threads. So now we are stuck with a weak class that will take a years worth of patches to become fun.
Edit: After carefully reading all the suggestions, I have taken the executive decision to disregard them completely. I’m right, the class is weak, needs buffs, and the opinion of sweats that make up 3% of the players and enjoy 20 hours of min-maxing before a class is borderline fun is INVALID.
With things like Arbites and SoTT (on V2) it was very obvious very early on that they was extremely overtuned.
Then people claimed that Grail Knight was weak on release, he’s had barely any changes to damage (except the recent cleave thing), and he’s been considered S+ since forever.
There’s could be playstyles or interactions that are very strong.
Also, this means that there’s no impact on the other Classes in the game, while we wait (I doubt it will be that long considering how quickly they fixed a lot of Arbites problems).
If it was OP and we had to wait years, like some of the V2 stuff, it just makes the game borderline unplayable, if you’re not the OP Class. E.g. Outcast Engineer Bomb build.
It is a class made of paper, capable of dealing very high chem damage. The class is not weak, you did not have the time to learn to use it. Just take your time and practice.
I don’t disagree with thinking about positions and dodging but this aplies to all classes/ the gameplay overall. The class lacks thougness overall which would be fine if it was a canon (like psycker) but it isnt.
Were did i say it needed that or am i misundestanding you ?
I find it the worst in the game, but if you think otherwise then that is your opinion ofcourse.
Well it is his gimmick, it are either keystones or abiltys which they should have thought about. This is also why they playtest it. But you are right, maybe they will fix it in a few months xd
its more complicated than that, Fatshark’s trying to develop talents and weapons that are not overpowered, and at the same time to be working in the current state of the game
obviously nothing above works, to have balanced stuff is great, but until everything else is on the same page it make things worse
i feel the same about the newly addition, vet’s power falchion, it has a great concept but why would you have to play the heat minigame to get the same damage as the primitive weapons
aside this, i’ve seen a cuple good scum players in havoc 40 distinguishing themselves, even solo clutching in unfavorable environment and ressing the squad
I thought this to begin with but am learning that there are serious optimisations using nodes down the bottom. The class feels quite useless until you unlock much of the lower tree.
The class requires much more micromanaging than other classes. It’s strengths seem to lay in timed activations/abilities rather than passively. It might not be for everyone (judging by how much everyone is dying in quick play!).
Try to buff crit strike whenever possible and consider the timing of blitz and abilities when you really need them.
And get used to dodging and sprinting. It’s definitely a class for the sweats, no doubt.
Very, very steep learning curve on this one. A bit bizarre for a dlc but it is what it is.
No, “Scums” are DPS dealer. They deal insane DPS but they are also paper glass.
But, they are seriously a great class. I think I will adopt it because there is no holy revenant.
Holy revenant that you don’t have choice to take or not, is a bad idea. It should have been moved on the down of the tree, behind martyrdom.
The “scum” class is seriously great, compared to this. The right part seems interesting, and really and also different than what we had until now.
The two branches, ranged and melee, are both extremely strong.
I’d like to see something resembling native American warclubs. (The ones that look a bit like giant wooden cutlasses). They often had spikes on the backside of the giant blunt weapon.
Ballclubs would be cool too.
The gangers feel very inspired by Native American warriors but in a mad max world. Lots of weapons inspiration is available from this.
