I would love to see atleast an engineer as a class space marine 2 got a tech marine it doesn’t have to anything specific please could we get a adeptus mechanicus class i think the game would benefit from an admech class please and thank you Fat shark
I’m reasonably hopeful we’re getting an AdMech class. My guess is that James of the Workshop is going for a Cross-Promotion Campaign.
- The release of the Techmarine for SM2.
- The announced Tech-Priest and Skitarii models.
- The upcoming release for Mechanicus 2 this spring.
- Rogue Trader’s 3’rd DLC will have an Augmentics system, and just might have AdMech quests to go with the Necron content relating to Trazyn. And the DLC is set to release this spring.
- Dawn of War 4 will have a playable Adeptus Mechanicus faction.
- The Imperium Maledictum TTRPG is getting an Adeptus Mechanicus sourcebook.
I hope it’s something a little more exotic like a harlequin or something I know people will talk about power levels but I don’t care this game needs an elf. I mean they could easily have the reason be that there is something on stoma that the harlequins have to prevent or want to happen as a reason for the alliance
Come again?
I’m guessing that was a typo. A and S are right next to eachoter on a standard QWERTY keyboard. Atoma → stoma.
I know, but it’s quite a vivid piece of imagery.
After a quick Google search I now understand your initial reaction.
Honestly… I get that it’s a solid possibility, but on a personal level I’ll be disappointed if all the major updates for 40k games this year are going to be AdMech themed.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s good news for AdMech fans, but for any imperium fans who aren’t Space Marine, AdMech or Imperial Guard fans this year is looking to be slim pickings.
The new mode has us gathering tech stuff, which seems a solid hint that some kind of AdMech class is coming.
I know this is just a typo but it made me chuckle. If you know what a stoma is, then you know what they want to prevent . . .
That said, I’d love to see an Eldar class, but the WH racists purists will excrete a brick from their stomas if FS tried it, unfortunately.
I doubt it’s going to be all Admech themed. Certainly we have Expeditions with the Tech-Remnants to gather and the May/June Class is likely either a Tech/-Adept/-Priest or an Enginseer. I could see Skitarii happening, although there’s a risk they’d be too similar to the Veteran. (I doubt we’re getting both Tech-Priests and Skitarii.)
There’s the rest of the year to consider though. The first thing that comes to mind is the Genestealer Cult symbol found on the papers in the bunker at the end of the No Man’s Land mission. The interview Jeficus had with Victor Magnuson implied we’d be getting a new enemy faction at some point (I can’t remember exactly where unfortunately). I’m hoping we get some new maps to go with that storyline. And speaking of story the the Cult of Admonition daemon summoning plotiline is still unfinished.
I’m hoping it’s not just gonna be “oops, all admech” I really am!
Fighting a GSC would be fun and I really want to see the daemon summoning arc resolved…
I just find that there’s an annoying oversight given that we’ve got two shrine worlds in the Moebian Domain, one of which surely houses at least a Commandery from the Adepta Sororitas, yet they go entirely unmentioned by the story itself with only passing gossip from the Rejects.
This is more galling given that the Inquisition’s incompetence allowed Admonition to start a summoning of a significant daemon in a cathedral of all places. A summoning that was only thwarted because of the Rejects.
I find it hard to believe they’ve sat idle and merely watched as Admonition spread their heresy across the domain, especially given their traditional role as the Inquisition’s chosen enforcers.
I’ve said it elsewhere, but I’ll say it again…
An Adepta Sororitas character could fill any number of roles, as they count Hospitallers, Dialogus, Retributors and Dominions among their ranks, to name but a few.
Then aesthetically, they’d be an interesting counterpart to the male-only Ogyrn.
As for their similarities to Zealot… Zealots are more like wandering preachers and fanatics rather than a disciplined fighting force. The only thing similar about them is they’re both religious themed.
