Havoc first impression

Ig they say it here, but not specifically level 10. You have to complete any Malestrom to get into Havoc, not an Auric one. So you can complete a Malice Maelstrom and get in lol.

Ah! I could have sworn it said auric maelstrom to me but must have imagined it. Maybe I’ll get to try havoc this century after all.

Is it actually possible to play havoc with randoms though? I don’t have any regular friends I play with. Always randoms

Yeah I’m sure I was told to complete an Auric one too. Weird.

  • add randomized missions per player, to provide more options
  • because missions are random per player, the party finder is required
  • only the host of the mission gets immediate progress, so if the party is to make progress, the same person should host every single time (within the same week)
  • because of this, there are no options

Seems like 20 IQ design.

You have to use the in game party finder (good luck) or otherwise find a group online somewhere else.

Wait… WHAT?!
And finishing Auric Maelstorm bumps trust level only to 10?!
WHAT IN THE EMPEROR’S NAME IS GOING ON?!

since the days of watching fatshark fruitlessly trying to get players to stop endlessly ramming their manparts in vermintide to today, nothing’s changed. everyone complains about any new content and demands more old content with new content rewards (which they also hate)

Have you played it yourself, @Ol_Jakal, or are you just arbitrarily posting in a discussion, like you frequently do?

The new map is amazing and the new weapons are incredible.

Unfortunately, Havoc isn’t particularly good. With changes it might have the potential to be something, but as is in its current state, it’s not.

Also, because it’s tied to the Party Finder, good luck finding a party to grind out the max ranks you require for a week unless you have a premade that is willing to go all in.

This was the only points I waited.
I see havoc as something to complete… and to forget immediately after.

Yeah but at least most of the complaints this time are just pointing out logical fallacies.

Like…why does the “endgame” (their words) content not start at least in the ballpark of what is actually the endgame? Karnak twins was scaled really well by comparison.

Also like @Wahid said, most players aren’t complaining about the new weapons, map, or enemy changes.

These changes look really good.
Scab ragers were a joke compared to dreg ones.

What really excited me was what they said in the blurb about trying to differentiate dregs and scabs more in the future. More melee dregs and more pew pew scabs.

Yeah I just completed a normal maelstrom and the option to play havoc is greyed out because I need “at least 2 members” but the party finder has no parties/games available (zero show up on the screen).

Guess I’m not playing havoc then.

What a dogmess system.

Hope everyone with online friends has fun with this entire new system made just for them…along with their private penance only cosmetics :disappointed:

Good job the new map is fun but I’d rather 6 new maps than this havoc mess that I can’t even access with my squillion xp character.

Also has the mission tag button been removed? I can’t seem to display my tagged penances in the hub anymore by pressing E.

Urgh.

Just commit harder if the first time don’t work

Also legit question here for some of the higher level guys here, Does anyone still enjoy lights out? It was fun the first few times but if i get it now i just leave.

I used to hate it but now I like it if I want a slightly more relaxing game as I consider it to be easy mode since enemies awareness is zero.

what
the
actual
fork ?

Why can’t I launch straight into a damnation game? Like who designs this?

I almost always avoid both lights out and ventilation purge. They’re not fun modifiers at all.

Wait… Let me understand the idea behind Havoc.
It was supposed to be behind trust level 30 with additional requirement of Auric Maelstrom completion for jump to Havoc level 10. So, only the best of the best can complete such challenge…

For some reason I’m getting weird feeling that other platforms Veterans (in terms of experience not class), are requested (ordered) to help out new pool of FNGs.
I like the idea, but why wasn’t sold by the “Lore”?

It’s being sold by event rewards - I’ve noticed that.

53rd was supposed to be a Toff Regiment right (at least that’s how Ducane tries to sell them)?
They are here to teach us not the other way around. Unless it’s a part of the plan - they come here, getting their collective bottoms kicked and now we (Veteran Acolytes) need to show them how the things are done.

But I don’t really feel it in the narrative…

My question is… why didn’t anybody came up with idea for each platform to be represented by different Moebian Regiment (and different Cosmetics accessible from the start)?
PC (beta-testers) - Loyalist remnants of the 6th
X-box - Pick’ a Number Moebian Regiment (not corrupted)
PS5 - 53rd Moebian Regiment (fresh starry eyed reinforcements).

Why wasn’t it planned back in 2022? The idea of multiplatform release must have been on the campaign maps since the beginning!

Maybe I’m trying to dig too deep and in too many directions…

PC & X-box:

PS5:

ERRATUM:

For all “I’m not carrying noobs” folks - guys. Try some roleplay - You’re Veteran, you’ve seen some heavy duty grox dung - help out new guys or they will die horribly.
If they die horribly, you will have to do your job AND THEIRS.
Give them some tips (advice, not the tips you think about perverts), help them out.

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of The Emperor!
