I don’t seen the point of havoc giving 5k xp when one of the biggest reasons for high level players to keep playing other than fun is to increase our true level. People doing high level havoc missions don’t need crafting mats or ordo dockets so why not give us xp (and aquilas) instead?
Isnt true level only visible to players on PC with mods?
Not that I disagree that Havoc rewards are awkward, theyre the sort of thing youd expect most such players to have an abundance of already or otherwise be able to sufficiently grind without too much extra effort.
mission XP is probably tied to the difficulty somewhere in the code and it’s less work to just leave it alone and avoid breaking things.
they give you more xp after level 30 so you continue to match with players around your level, and fatshark need to acknowledge that most of the target audience for the higher havo levels use the mod
I don’t really agree with the idea that the reason high level players keep playing is to increase our true level. Personally, I’d rather my true level stay where it is as the higher it gets, the higher the expectations get.
The rewards are definitely a bit underwhelming though, besides the cosmetics which are ok.
Think it’s just a matter of there not being much else to use as a reward besides more cosmetics… and cosmetics are the only revenue source for continued development besides the initial purchase so I think that’s why they are a bit stingy with those.
What keeps me playing personally is the gameplay. Havoc adds some interesting new modifiers and challenge, so I don’t view it as a grind. Just more content to enjoy.
The rewards are just a bonus.
you need a level 30 character for a complete build (full skill tree), everything above is bragging rights.
there are people running around with 3x XP perks on their curios to level up faster, but it’s useful imo only for getting to 30 faster.
@DisasterTourist : this is the way.
