When I saw the reward of havoc, I couldn’t help but roll my eyes
I honestly I would roll my eyes even if they gave me 25 million Dockets and 2 million of materials, that’s nothing, these things are not rare or hard to earn or even needed
I do not know any reason to play Havoc other than for some challenge and Cosmetics
But, that indeed sucks that this is the reward, feels like too little for this much work
The Darktide discussion group I was in was all talking about the Havoc mode rewards and they were all very disappointed. They don’t think the reward is worthy of their efforts.
There’s really nothing wrong with adding premium monetary rewards, and Fat Shark you can really be generous. Just make a small change
Havoc Level 10 200 Aquilas
Havoc Level 20 400 Aquilas
Havoc Level 30 600 Aquilas
Havoc Level 40 800 Aquilas
So this mode is very much an under baked mess. Lovely.
Seriously, Fatshark?
While it might not be the best idea to give Aquilas to the designated mega hard mode, at least it would be something.
I’m sticking around for the cosmetics and have no interest in anything else. Not the titles, not the little insignia bits, I don’t care.
I can have far more fun and far more rewards on the regular game mode which is what this should have been integrated with to begin with.
I said that if rewards don’t keep up, Havoc will die within a month. Fat shark’s stinginess is accelerating the process
Fatshark are always on point with their pullout game
Always pulling things out severely underbaked
Top difficulty should never be about rewards so whatever. Any problems with the mode lie in how enjoyable it is to play, not what trinkets it offers you.
With the current rewards, when we get those titles and skins. Would anyone really play Havoc Mode for that material?
Havoc won’t last long without an update to the rewards, and the commissar will soon be alone.
@FatsharkStrawHat This is really a serious problem and you should take it seriously
Incorrect, see above. People will play what they think is fun. Trying to lure people into a difficulty they shouldn’t be anywhere near with shiny rewards is heretical work.
Havoc mode is simply a boost to increase the number of monsters. Do you think this is funny? And will you continue to play Havoc Mode after you get those titles and skins?
Due to changes in the weapon manufacturing system, players are no longer short of materials. The weekly bonus material provided by Havoc mode is meaningless
You can get a perfect weapon for peanuts now. Who gives a **** what you get for resources? There’s nothing you could do with it anyway.
The entire purpose of the game mode is the added challenge.
another week without solo… thanks fatshark for ruining my butthole once more.
they lucky i like 40k more than fact they gone backwards with this game…
Honestly I agree but only under the premise that they drop havoc like they dropped weaves or significantly improve how it works. I do not want to see any more dev time on this gamemode when it could be used somewhere else, unless it’s a bit of an overhaul that rethinks what is difficult in this game
Ah many thanks for showcasing the rewards! I got my black pants at lvl 25 and I don’t need to play this nonsense anymore
Damn, I wish the reward for reaching lvl 40 was the hose missing from Krieg’s cosmetics.
I’m surprised folks expected any better. Hell, I don’t think the higher ups would even allow 1 aquila per havoc level. You’d have to twist their arms to even give us 1 aquila at level 40.
It’s just ridiculous, I played to the last to take 40th and got not even 40k, great mode, don’t even want to maintain level 40 all the time now.
Havoc was positioned as for those who have completed the game, thoughts in my head are confused, but come to realise why there was not so much information in the patch description, and especially with the rewards.
Ah yes, well I don’t even want to get them, or suddenly, I as a ‘passed’ the game will become well too easy
I don’t think you read what I wrote very clearly.
I’m saying there SHOULDN’T be meaningful rewards for top difficulty. It should be there for the challenge and the fun that brings. If the mode isn’t fun rewards won’t save it. If it is fun it doesn’t need rewards.
So giving a pittance of materials is fine and good frankly.
Here with Aquilas is a good idea, but only in the point that they should be given for level 40, if every week the rank is reset, then it makes sense, but now when I reach level 40, what prevents me to gather a group and pass 1 time knowing the winning strategies?
For level 40 to give 200 Aquil is quite normal, and for 10-30 - the usual currency but a larger amount. And sharks are not at a loss - because you can not quickly nafarim, and players are happy + incentive at least sometimes come in.
I don’t disagree as such, but the plasteel and diamantine especially is very nice. Iirc I get around ~600 plasteel & ~200 diamantine per T5+ mission with me making sure to gather almost everything, meaning I frequently venture out while my pub team does whatever so I can loot. It’s ~30 minutes per mission (being generous here, some runs fail and give less than half).
The rewards in OP are the equivalent of ~60 missions worth of plasteel, and ~116 missions of diamantine. Since Unlocked & Loaded diamantine is the bottleneck resource now. That’s almost 60 hours worth of gaming in diamantine minimum, assuming you succeed every run. Besides, many Havoc rewards are tied to penances so this hardly tells the full picture.
So while I agree that the reward for completing the hardest tier should be something… idk, more unique? Special? Considering what Havoc is and does to the community, I definitely don’t think the weekly rewards should be so great as to force people to play it either. It enforces a strict super limiting meta, divides the community, and heavily favors organized friends-only teams.
