Wow, that's very generous of you, fat shark

Yeah also in the Q&A topic about Havoc there were ppl saying “Maybe it is Aquilas!” but, realistically, we all knew in our hearts that it would have been nothing of the sort.

I guess everyone agrees because this morning there is not a single game being hosted. Not a single game at any rank. Wow.

Almost like some people knew the moment it was announced…

Some small things that would help reduce it’s messiness:

  • Show the hidden modifiers. I’ve had 40s that were like regular high int maelstroms. While some 32s were nuclear and unbeatable.
It would go a long way to help know what you’re getting into.

  • Give players a single reroll on map and modifiers. Make it re-earnable for every 5-10 havocs completed. This could fix bad RNG somewhat

  • Make the party finder show loadouts of applicants

  • The option to kick someone from a party. Why the f do we not have this?

We have exactly that proof over in the Book of Grudges.

I feel that Havoc was brought out solely to challenge the best in the game; not for any material rewards. If you followed these forums for years, then you’ll know that many asked for a hardmode ++ .

First of all: that many have done this within a week is ironic. So much for hard mode. And for those that have, getting a title for completing lvl 40 is surely enough? FS aren’t going to give away their only means of subsequent income (i.e. Aquilas) regardless of how many times people ask for them for achievements.

tbh - there should have been no chest; just a short movie sequence and a title that only those doing it get. You’re quite justified in activating smug-mode.

And I can personally say this knowing that I’m not likely ever to hit Havoc 40. And not caring one jot about aquilas.

You should get, at least 800 plasteel per run… it can goes up to 1000 with heretic idols.

Yeah, so no need to worry about it imo. A few bonus items is just some icing on the cake.

I was never able to try on EU server. No party and if I do one no one join. Dead mode for me already. Nobody play it. I play as usual. Stop use efforts and time on this kind of thing just work on optimisation bug fix and content. Thx.

The problem is that for most players, by the point theyre doing this level of gameplay, they probably already have so many things mastered and resources stockpiled that the rewards just arent an incentive.

For my own part, Ive mastered most of the weapons im interested in already and am already able to generate enough resources from casual play at Damnation to essentially brute force master a new weapon type and craft a perfect 500 up from a Brunt grey about every week, about as fast as I can actually try and learn to use them effectively. Even worse, at least for me, only Ordo Docketts have been the choke point there as well, I havent run out of Plasteel or Diamantene once before running out of Dockets first.

@Ralendil good point about the idols, forgot about them. That 800 plasteel sounds very theoretical without them though. Most pubs open chests only to leave the mats behind… when they even bother opening the chests (which isn’t often). I’m routinely the one gathering most mats in my missions. :frowning:

I’m already venturing off on my own all the time to get the mats and ping resources for my team - only to have them ignore them. Going via the alternate main routes and making sure to loot every chest even remotely on the way is one thing, but I can’t start lagging behind the team to get every single bit of resource no matter which remote corner they might be in.

I genuinely don’t understand what the design goal was, it feels like there were two competing priorities.

If it’s ‘hard mode’, the levels start at Malice difficulty which can, quite literally, be done by somebody with an internet connection so bad they can’t actually see what they’re doing, and the level-up process encourages you to not actually host your own missions so you can bum around there and get multiple credits for assisting and completing Havocs.

But if it’s not ‘hard mode’, the rewards are absolutely pitiful for something people should be expected to play en masse!

I loot every time. 800 was my norm before the idols.
But, I know close to every chests in every missions.

Unless they fundamentally change the rules in a new mode

The 1% of players who have mastered an understanding of the game and how to handle everything the game throws at you will beat it pretty quickly

Ultimately havoc just increases stats and stacks modifiers experts are already accustomed to.
