No. I started at lvl 16 due to doing Auric Malestorm and climbed the ladder fair and square.
I only used Loner and Stealth builds back in the day to do the penances in Aurics.
Yes, it can be chaotic and unfair but they never advertised it being easy.

I know they never stated it to be easy but it is well and truly chaotic and unfair much of the time since the update.
I stated that in my initial comment. Darktide Havoc and absurd are two sides of the same coin 
I rarely ever play havoc outside of playing once a week and climbing with randoms is virtually impossible. The party finder is miserable and due to there being no quickplay if anyone disconnects at anytime its basically an automatic loss with a bot. You also cant ever find havoc games no matter the time of day and if you do you either dont get accepted or cant find a mission near your rank to try and join in the first place. Lots of people say to host your own lobbies but if you hate the mission modifiers you rolled you arent going to do that. Im currently 24 and trying to find lobbies 25-30 is a waste of time. I cant tell you how often I play this game all day and i go to check havoc and there is one havoc 40 game and like one havoc 20 and nothing else at like 8pm its actually
Hilarious. You combine all that with the demotion mechanic and you have a miserable experiencr all around. I dont even really like what i see at havoc 40 i just want to play havoc at times cuz there isnt anything else to do and hi shock missions are boring.
From the opening comment you can tell that I relate to a lot of your concerns here.

I disagree with that though. As of recent, I see many various missions popping up when I search in the late evening / early night British time.
But going back to the part of your comment about being declined entrance to a game, that’s often the case. I’m guessing that maybe the host of the party is waiting on a friend or something…
And the part about being stuck with a sh*tty bot and it being an automatic loss, that’s spot on and besides the overall difficulty, is one of my main gripes.
Quite a shame it is right now, because Havoc has loads of potential to be fun just like the rest of the game is. Games can have a nice balance of fun AND be very challenging without being flat out ridiculous. It’s up to Fatshark to find the sweet spot, like like the tweaks they’ve done over time to various character classes, perks and weapons. One can hope hey

There is no console version of the game. It’s all crossplay.
If you do a quick google search, it will likely bring back these: xbox x/s, ps5, xbox cloud gaming, geforce now. No consoles hey…
They mean there is no console-specific version of Darktide like there was with Vermintide 2. Also laughs in Australian when looking for havoc parties.

People decline people from joining their games because of the demotion mechanic. They want a specific character in their game as to meybe potentially not demote. It is a product of the demotion mechanic. Also sure sometimes you can find havoc games but alot of the time havoc is competely dead.

The problem with hosting your own game is often times your mission is something terrible and you have to wait an entire week or derank to get another map rolled. Im not queing up for a tox gas heinous ritual game with randoms just so we can lose 3x and demote its a waste of my time. Also it doesnt matter where above your rank you lose because if you lose you derank. Nobody who is at havoc 15 is getting into my 25 games but even if they did they would still derank when we lose. I dont even care about low level players tryna leap frog havocs and you cant do that anyway cuz you omly go up by like 2 at a time or something since they changed it.
