Hard crash during gameplay since update

Since the update I have been hard crashing during gameplay. I’ve tried roughly five expeditions and very expedition except one I’ve been unable to complete because it crashes during the run.

When it occurs it completely freezes the computer, and about 15 seconds later the game hard closes, sometimes crashing Steamwebhelper along with it. It will NOT generate any kind of crash report window when it does this, so I don’t know what kind of error code is occurring.

Neither the game nor Steam will launch again until I completely reboot the computer. If I try relaunching Darktide, I get the attached error.

I’ve run with mods disabled and verified game integrity with no change, made sure graphics drivers are updated and do not run with launch commands.

Sorry to hear this Donnicton. It sounds like this is more of a driver or hardware-related issue based on the symptoms you describe; as Darktide operates in protected memory and a conventional crash would simply send you to the desktop.

Perhaps the update has highlighted an existing instability. You’ll want to check for corresponding errors in the Windows Event Viewer - information on how to do this and more can be seen here:

These are the errors logged in event viewer. And of course the standard “I haven’t had any problem with the game until the update” asterisk - no problems with the hard drive, >1TB free space, etc.
