should be a feature, in case it would be a bug
it removes the base amount but it leaves the corruption caused over time

Of all the mechanics to complain about, you choose one of the niche ones that benefit players. Not hounds break dancing and phasing through solid walls and doors, not getting netted and pulled through 14 bulwarks instead of bouncing off their shield, not reporting how you can burn you death in the belly of a Beast of Nurgle while it takes no damage from the flames.

Me thinks me senses a traitor in our midst.

I mean it’s potentially a bug. This is the bug report forum, not the “how do we keep players as strong as possible” forum. All those things you mentioned have been reported to death on here.

Nah. It’s possible that it’s a bug, or it could be game design. It’s not a win-more mechanic that over powers players. Removing it reduces game complexity and reduces fun.

Where is the issue

The issue is it benefits no one to post about it, seeking out fatshark to remove features.

It’s a bug report, not a change request.

Please explain what the point of bug reports are if not to illicit a change.

To report it in case they’re not aware of it and it’s a bug. What Fatshark does after is up to them. Things like this can be impetus to make the book mechanics more interesting.

Also, you’re acting like it’s a fact that this is a good mechanic. I like grabbing grimoires for the extra risk and people being incentivized to instadestroy them isn’t a good thing in my book. It’s fine to disagree with that but there’s no point trying to keep people from making bug reports

Keen eyed readers will have been able to pick up that my initial comment was an attempt at sarcastic humor and not a genuine attempt to dissuade reports.

With that out of the way, we have a fundamental difference of opinion on the goal of the game is. I see the game as a means to have fun and relax, you seem to think the goal of a game existing is to be the fullest expression of a developer’s vision. The developers do get the final say in what happens as they are the ones who program and sell the game, it is however in the best interest of the players, i.e. the people who spend money to give the developers jobs, to express their opinions as well when it would improve their gaming experience.

Lastly, you don’t have to always be carrying the grim to gain benefits from this mechanic. I personally have had runs saved by knowing this obscure interaction with health bars by finding a grim on the ground while multiple people are on their last wound and immediately throwing it away. It is a good mechanic, although seldomly does the opportunity arise for it to be a net gain.

Not really I just want it to be challenging. I don’t solve crosswords puzzles that I already know, either

I can see you really don’t want to have a serious conversation and only want to post quippy replies. Please proceed to unbind the block key, avoid picking up any ammo, and don’t bother with any upgraded weapons or talent points as you don’t seem to enjoy existing mechanics and only want a challenging experience.

Has anyone ever told you that overreduction isn’t smart or clever?

Not yet, but go ahead and give me the best you got. Show me your most scathing insult, really go for the jugular.

Mods: please don’t get him in trouble for no matter what he says.

Genuinely that made me laugh pretty hard in a friendly sort of way. You win this round.

The tl;dr is: because the bug report section doesn’t serve that purpose while the feedback section does.

That does not answer my question so I will ask it again and implore you to pause and think about the answer. What is the desired outcome of a bug report? What is the action you would like to see as a result of said report?
